  • I'm so glad I could find this again! Haven't seen it for 9 month's.

    Love it!

  • That girls scream is really loud and annoying

  • 1:46 Is that a Shaun of The Dead reference or just coincidence...

  • The low budget zombie flicks are always the most scary for some reason. hint hint Hollywood

  • 16 people are infected

  • So very good! Re kindled my interest in making one myself :)

  • cool

  • yeah, really good movie, but for the real zombie apocalypse, remember to barricade the doors and windows... it probably wont help, but it gives you more a zombie apocalypse feel... which is necessary if you're gonna survive =D

  • The most realistic version ive seen great job!

  • Very good, I was not expecting something like this. The dad and the girl are good actors. Thumbs up!

  • 0:23 - "Wyborowa", good Polish vodka! :D

  • awesome

  • EXCELENTE !!!!!

  • This was AWESOME!!!

  • Nicely made must be the best fan movie i have seen of the 28 series!

  • That wa awsome.... wut kind of camera did yuh use or wut did yuh use to make this because me and my brothers and planin to do one..

  • @TheTNA55 It was just a Sony PDX something or other (a while ago now) standard def camera. You could pretty much use any of HD camera & get the same effect, if not much higher quality.

The interlacing is the thing you'll need to watch out for in the rapid movement areas, but the most editing software will let you de-interlace it, no problemo.

  • That was so scary, I almost run too....!

  • dum ass kids. In a shtf senerio I told my kids and my wife if you didnt do want I told you to do your done. Do as your told if not, I love you, but good bye.Now I know this is bs but in a real shtf senerio that's it.

  • methinks i would have boarded up my windows. also, better fence.

  • Nice cinematics! A better writer and you could have a full film!

  • dude good job really brilliant i should try and pull something off like this. =D

  • Aww, that was very nice of that guy =(

  • Very very good... I'm planning on possibly creating one myself. But don't know if I should do normal movie style or shaky handheld style!?

  • @sweetvideos4all If you are copying 28 Days Later they use a mixture of both, depending if it is an action or a quiet scene. I think that's better than the completely hand held style that's taken over.

One trick that I learnt, if you don't mind me telling you, is using a really high shutter speed - up around 500 - when doing action to give it that crazy sharp look you can see about the 2:30 mark.

Good luck mate! Let me know how it goes & maybe subscribe to me if you want to see my new projects!

  • that was fucking intense. I loved the camera angles, I loved the real sound of horror in that girls scream. The screaming wasnt overdone yet it wasnt underdone either. There was even some moments there where I was like "DUde wtf are you doing don't go back in there!" the panic of the situation was handled brilliantly.

  • that was awesome

  • Awesome job dude, had me shakin in me trousers

  • that was really good actually, i thought it was gonna be bad damn was i wrong, great job, what was your budget if you don't mind my asking?

  • Well really a nice done movie, it looks great

  • Not too shabby, thanks Pete. I'm glad to see you have pursued filmmaking. Anything else in the pipeline?

  • Great work, Peter!

  • @shempmeister Thanks Mate! Tyson told me you uploaded your classic. How's life been treating you?

  • Umm, kinda crappy acting at the scary parts, (Should have been more believeable) but otherwise you guys did a great job, thumbs up =)

  • Really nice work!!! Congratulations!

  • what camera did you use? great movie :D well done!

  • @Lorcanproductions It was a Sony PDX 10 from memory.

  • @PeterWolfLowe thanks :D

  • Great movie but....you cannot get infected yourself by cutting yourself on a fence as in this ending. You have to be bitten by infected which clearly doesn't happen anywhere in this movie. Don't get ending.

  • @temolito He doesn't get infected by the cut - it just makes him pause for a moment. Long enough for the infected to catch up to him.

We were obviously a bit too subtle at the end there! Thanks for the feedback!

  • @PeterWolfLowe but its really a bit weird that he stops there instead of just jumping over the fence, however its your film :D

  • EPIC short film nice work!

  • Very good my friends ! Very good !

  • they probably should have boarded up their windows

  • lol at people who call the infected "zombies"

  • Such a depressing zombie movie

  • @thepivotkiller They are not zombies you know? They call them the infected not zombies

  • the guy in red is fuckt up i whood of run

  • 5 stars awesome!!!

  • wooooww awesomee!!

  • that was better than i thought it was gunna be. only prob is that its basicly the opening to 28 weeks and the ending to 28 days. something original would have been good but i still liked it.

  • @spinkydoodle101 That was definitely my inspiration. To be honest I really wanted to catch the feel of the opening sequence so I made something very similar. To learn by copying.

There are some great, very original fan films out there tho. Check out RAGE if you haven't seen it!

  • Why does he have the balls to get right in when everyone is fucked, but is too much of a chicken when the wife was on that guy?

  • Awesome. Great area to shoot that in. Well done. Check out my series- THE ZOMBIE PARTS. I direct all the even numbered episodes.

  • that was perdy damm good bravo

  • VERY VERY VERY FANTASTIC !!!!!!!

  • Very good video but its scary hehehe....

  • Or MY GOD

    VERY GOOD BRILLIANT FANTASTIC VIDEO

    SHOULD SHOULD BE MORE VIDEOS

  • Comment removed

  • very good tale with little flaws

  • Pretty ballsey to go behind a group of infected and shout HEY! LOL...

  • I love it, thanks so much for this movie.

And that guy is like the Anti-Don! AMAZING. I'm assuming you did that purposely.

    Excellent.

  • I love these 28 days/weeks films. They're a lot better than most real zombie movies. There just isn't much in the zombie genre that can top 28 days/weeks later. Though, technically they aren't zombies but infected humans. But I still call them zombies.

  • @bowserhunta1

Well the original zombies weren't undead so yes they can be zombies.

    Poor Australia....... :(

  • OMG

  • wasnt the boy in the room with the girl? ? ? and why was the women lying down n that when she bit him in the kitchen good job but confused me a bit

  • very cool

  • this. is. SO AWESOME!!! and i love how the people you wouldn't think would live do....really awesome. and scary. seriously, just showing the back of the dude in the front yard!? stuff of nightmares, seriously.

one thing, though: why don't they have, like, reinforced windows, etc? I'd board up everything in sight. Of course, I'm a paranoid lunatic....;) 5/5

  • that was amazing

  • Exellent!!!!!

    Nice video!!^^

  • The British accents were my favorite! ...They were British right?

  • really? lol! they are australian accents (if you weren't kidding).

  • No I wasn't kidding! I'm American, I can't differentiate British from Australian accents!

  • lol! well watch my movie another hundred times for practise :)

The australian accent is usually hammed up a bit in films that are going overseas, but this is how it sounds in victoria, which is a state down south.

  • I love how the girl says "Stop wasting powahh!"

  • well you must be retarded then

  • Wow, Allie was cute when she was 16, she's still cute! lol. This is a fantastic film both technically and artistically! Very Nice. Be interested in seeing anything else you've done! Keep it up! :)

  • nice, very nicely done, loved the infected eyes, dont usually see that sort of thing in lower budget zombie flicks, acting was solid, overall i give it a 9/10 be nice if it was just a wee bit longer tho

  • thanks for the compliment!

  • great vid

  • that was awesome! thanks mate, really good vid.

  • pls watch my "28 days later"

    thx"

  • Wow! You captured the intensity that the actual movies had. I Loved this. .....What camera did you use?

  • sorry for the late response but I just remembered. It was a sony pdx 10 (i think - it was definitely one of the pdx's)

  • wow VERY nice this video

  • Damn I love Australia... And infected would just make it look even more epic. I wonder if they'd kill of those damned Kangaroos...

  • /sign

    i love australia too :->

  • I love how you made the infected actually look infected lol.

  • thanks darkstar. & doubly thanks because that's me as the first infected btw. :)

  • wouldn't that loud ass generator attract them or am i not getting something

  • its actually quite isolated there in terms of the next nearest farmhouse, etc, but how are you to know that?

thanks for the critisism. that's very helpful!

  • This was excellent. well done!

  • Ah, my beloved Roslyn, RIP!

  • i like this film. it shows how fast the rage virus could spread.

  • Good acting and filming (not putting the camera on a static position like many do) the only thing that lacked was good music that hits hard when the zombies attack like the 28 days later soundtrack. (you didnt use it because of copyright issues I assume)?

  • Copyright was very much an issue - I wanted everything to be as above board as a fan film can be - but also to have an original score.

I love "In the house..." but its so recogniseable that it overshadows the scene, rather than complimenting it (I feel).

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it. I'm working on a feature film at the moment that will need a lot of support from horror fans so please keep an eye on this space!

  • the kid really sucks

  • very good

  • did a family make this vid or something

  • Very good but it could be better not by much though

  • That was awesome! I loved it

  • i would hide in Grosse Ile Michigan, its a forest island on the detroit river. look it up on "Google earth."

  • really good film i shit myself when she turned around and saw the kid was infected and standing up lol

  • why the fuck was that chick holding that kid back? id run over and save my mom but n stupid btches always have to get in the way

  • i luv it but wit a diff song the in the house in a heartbeat u shud try change it

  • huuuu juuuhhhuuu

  • I almost shit myself. Thank you for giving me another couple of sleepless night.

  • This is really good for a fan film

  • I just read that it's supposed to play in australia, excuse me. :P

  • You gotta learn to read the description before asking questions. Seriously..

  • In which country is it playin'?

  • I love this. I think if you had used In the House - In a Heartbeat I would have liked it more.

  • I've known Ally for about a year, she's one of my favourite people both professionally and personally! I've worked with her on theatre mainly, but i think she's almost better at film! (If thats possible) Exceedingly talented girl, its an amazing performance given she's so young! Everyone in the movie is amazing! As i said, really impressive! You've obviously directed well! Great work overall though, watched it a 2nd time and its still awesome! Cheers!

  • This movie is really good, both production and acting quality. I know Ally's at VCA so are the other actors from there as well? And how old was she when this was filmed ? She must have been pretty young 15? 16? Anyway, great stuff mate, it captures the suspense and crisis point feel really well. :)

  • Thanks very much!

Ally was around 16 I think at the time. I got her & the rest of the actors from Mansfield - all of them were involved in some way with the local performance centre, which was great. The downside was that, me being in Melbourne, I couldn't get much rehearsal time with them, but what was amazing was that they got together frequently & workshopped it themselves!

I know they'd appreciate your comments.

    How do you know Ally?

  • WHY'D that man go back in the house he is crazy!

  • you wouldnt?

  • just watched this 10 times love this film well done peterwolflowe

  • Thanks very much! That made my day.

  • Well done. I wanted to see more.

  • did the girl get raped

  • i hope theres 28 years later how will they survive

  • Very well crafted film......

Great Job Rob and the crew..

It uses suspense and less gore..

It should be a short film before

    28 months later!!!!!!

  • Thanks mate! Much appreciated.

    Do you know Rob?

  • Marry me Ally....?

Lol, Nice movie btw! :) Beautifully constructed!

  • I was telling my friend after i watched 28 weeks later that i would love to see a good zombie movie set in australia because it would put an intersting spin when compared to the old crowded city scenario. some things i reckon you would have to do to make this work: have the zombie much harder to kill than in 28 days later as you wouldnt be meeting as many of them, have them be able to smell humans from yonks away, have them be insanely fast. having the main character go bush would be sweet

  • As far as I've understood in the movie, it's that they're not zombies. The Rage virus is like an intesified rabies virus, making them go berserk. They're still living humans, it's just that they're totally berserk and have to beat the shit out of anything that's not infected. You dont see or hear about any infected eating anyone in 28 days/weeks later. If they did eat humans they wouldnt die of hunger. That's the point of the whole movie. Making it seem more realisitc than a normal zombie movie.

  • ugh its easier to say zombies, duh its a virus but they look like zombies and sound like zombies so you say zombies

  • yeah, theyre zombies. I do agree that they may not be EXACTLY like zombie in other movies, but they are still zombies. And if they dont eat humans, why all the fucking biting????

  • This excellent!

Just a thought tho, you should try and use scarier/suspenseful music more next time

  • Great Job! I liked it. two thumbs up =)

  • xDxD...GG

  • this is not that bad most zombie vidoes suck u guys rock o and girls too

  • I love 28 Days later..I love this one also. I wish the sequel was half as good as this one.

  • that was very well made dose any one no when 28 months later come`s out

  • maybe 2011? he announced he might do it when he was releasing sunshine and thats a recent movie sorta.

  • awesome

  • Parkhill is just as good in this movie as she is in everything else i've seen her in!!! She must have been young when she made this though! She still seems completely committed as an actor though! Nice casting ! :) Great movie too, i'm not a movie expert but i think the camera work is really good!

  • Yeah, i was talking about Ally, i've been working with her recently and she's pretty amazing esp. given she's so young! I agree i think all the actors are really good! Ally said this movie was made her wanna be an actress so, and she said you were amazing to work too so there you go! lol. Also you've really captured the isolation really nicely! kinda spooky!

  • That's one of the greatest compliments I think I've ever had. Thanks mate!

  • That was the most amazing video I have EVER seen on Youtube!

    No joke

    Terrific work

    Well done :)

    Holly x

  • Very nice video. They should make a 3rd movie of only little snippits like what you did of survivors. Have it like the beginning of 28 wks later, but the story would end as he escapes in the boat. Then starts another story of different people. Sometimes they escape, sometimes they dont. Have it long enough to get attached to the characters like in the intro to 28 wks, and this one you did. I AM LEGEND DVD has short stories in their bonus features like what I'm talking about.

  • The second amendment is the solution to this kind of scenario. If every family owned a gun the infection wouldn't spread at all.

  • not lik tht is gonnna go very far.. most families can hav guns but choose not too.. as they hav children and such.. and they all dont hav an endless supply of ammunition... also throughtout the beginning of an infection ppl will not be on guard.. and its not likely they be carrying

  • The girl in this is an AWESOME actress! She plays Juliet as well as she plays a chick in a horror movie! she's gonna be famous! Nice film btw!

  • Thanks mate. Are you talking about Ally by the way? I get heaps of comments about her. I really think she's on her way somewhere fantastic.

Although I'm really pretty biased about all of the actors in 280 Days Later. I learnt so much from making it, & its been so good for me that I feel like I owe them all big time. They were all really amazing to work with (especially for an amateur director).

  • Good argument, but with all due respect, awful editing.

  • Thanks for the comment mate, but it would be really awesome if you gave some specific feedback. What in particular did you dislike? I'd really appreciate it.

Also, anyone who reads this comment - please go & check out Bfett's stuff as well & let him know what you think.

  • Well, actually, there was very little things to dislike about your film. I mean, the effects are awesome, landscapes are priceless and the whole atmosphere of 28 days later is there. But I didn't like some continuity errors at the beginning, but that's it man, everything else is terrific. Thanx on your comment on my video, I really appreciate your critic and definitely pay attention to it. See ya and keep makin movies!!! :)

  • Thanks mate! That's really helpful. I hope your films do well for you!

  • Very entertaining. I really liked it. The camera really gave it the feel of 28 weeks later.

  • At 3:27 it looks exactly like the window from 28 weeks later where the woman gets pulled away.

    FOrgot her name.

  • Yr a legend Parkhill!!

    Really convincing! (as always)

Great movie mate, captured the isolation of rural vic really well!

    Cheers!

  • this video was a 4/10, the mark was becouse of the unstable camera work and i do think that the dialogue could have been better, story line could have been better and keeped to the original action packed dialogue, even a small budget can produce a big bang.

  • family=p0wned

    not great, but good

  • pretty good.

  • That was really well done, I really enjoyed that, good stuff!

  • it was great.... kinda good too see a zombie short filom without some fucking picture of a dead body screaming.....

    5/5!

  • Nice!

  • Excellent, kind of ironic tht the guy gave his life to save her and she was killed by her mom, if he had run away he could have made it some what far.

  • wow got the whole family made the flim.. thumbs up

  • actually, they're all actors! but I'm glad that it comes across that way. cheers!

  • This is absolutly perfect! i have to say it was very nice, I thought it was nice how the effects from the blood and the red eye effect, it was absolutly perfect GREAT JOB 5 stars *****

  • Wow... I'm clapping my hands to this one. It's just a short movie and it got me so caught in the story and scenes. I recognized some modelling off of the opening sequence from 28 Week Later maybe? Anyways, love it. Great job. You captured the feeling PERFECTLY.

  • Dude you captured the rage virus perfectly

  • i love the premis man u shoiuld consider getting in contact with the producers and showing them this...this is what a zombie film should be mate

  • great job with this video

  • damn you should make

    a real 28 months later.

    dat was awesomE!

  • Really good fan film : ) Nice work! Really captured the feel for 28 dayd later. This couldve taken place somewhere far away from the other survivers in the movie .

  • Excellent Fan Film! I don't know If I can get anywhere close to that with any of my fan films.

  • Great work.

  • awsome work!

  • oh...!it's a very nice movie!:D

  • its in the zombie survival guide by max brooks, never leave a window open, that is what they did, they left the curtain open, the infected guy saw them inside

  • great! Make a sequel! the person driving away seemed very good! Continue it, for example, go into town, encounter survivors. It is yours though, do what you will.

  • good job! this is awsome!

  • Very nice work! It's quite a well made homage to the original films. The style and theme are perfect, and I think you got the overall scary factor of it quite well too. 83 Overall, fantastic work on it!

I hope you all got some well-deserved credit for it, at some point. This short film deserves it quite a lot. 8D

  • just goes to show ya, the smallest slip and yer dead.

  • that old man is so like that one in the film!

  • realy nice :) also funny that you used parts from 28 weeks later,...and i barely noticed it :) realy good video , keep up the good work

  • All the footage is original, but if we got bits that look as good as either of the original films - even if they are only small shots - then yay for us!

The story was heavily modelled off the opening sequence from 28 Weeks Later, which gave me a great reference point, although I actually used 28 Days
