A German world power without a real war. Germany gets what it deserves. The freedom to say in the world, where to go. What would be so bad about that Germany has to say where to go. @checker80th A constitution doesn't need to be voted for by the people. It needs to be ratified by the representatives of the people. That happened in Germany.
The German population cannot directly decide about issues, not in German politics (representation: Bundestag) nor in European politics (representation: European Parliament). That's how a representative democracy works. Germany is NOT a direct democracy. That'S what you have to accept. Now you can like that or not, but it's the way it is.

Ja, die Entstehungsgeschichte ist natürlich nicht so leicht, vor allem die Briten und Franzosen (der Alliierten) waren vor allem rachsüchtig. Wir können uns schon glücklich schätzen, dass alles ganz gut rausgekommen ist. Denk mal an den Morgenthau Plan usw.

Germany does have a "direct voting" element in its democratic system. (see "Volksentscheid" in wikipedia or something) And of course the possibility to for example change the democratic voting system to vote directly for the Chancellor or President (which is also voted for indirectly). (2/3 of the Bundestag vote would b required for such a change, but whatever still theoretically possible)
But all in all so far our German Democracy is very stable and working well as it is !

But, he can say Willkommen to the audience and Merkel uses much body language as well as her eyes to agree or disagree with him. Then, it cuts her out completely and only zooms in on him. Germany has become an important ally to the USA, because of it's excellent diplomatic and economic contacts to Russia, China and the middle east to mediate american and european interests, but of course Britain and Germany share more interests because we are Europeans. Brown was a mess, but Cameron and Merkel agree on most issues today. Hopefully your british government finally realises that Britain and Germany must work closer togehter to adjust our foreign policies to the USA

Hauptsächlich auch aus Europa, Deutschlands Binnenwirtschaft hat wohl kaum die Kraft dazu. Ohne den Euro/die EU wären wir viel ärmer. Und noch dazu fast bedeutungslos in der Welt. ich denke das sich viele Länder daran gewöhnt haben ihre eigene Sprache zu sprechen seit dem es Übersetzer gibt.
Zum Beispiel spricht ja Sarkozy (Frankreich) auch kein Deutsch wenn er ein Besuch in Deutschland macht :). Naja ich finde Obama echt toll und Merkel auch.Ich denke das Amerika und Deutschland viel zusammen schaffen können und sie sind einer der wenigen Länder die versuchen eine soziale Welt zu erschaffen.

The German population cannot directly decide about issues, not in German politics (representation: Bundestag) nor in European politics (representation: European Parliament). That's how a representative democracy works. Germany is NOT a direct democracy. That'S what you have to accept. Now you can like that or not, but it's the way it is.

Ja, die Entstehungsgeschichte ist natürlich nicht so leicht, vor allem die Briten und Franzosen (der Alliierten) waren vor allem rachsüchtig. Wir können uns schon glücklich schätzen, dass alles ganz gut rausgekommen ist. Denk mal an den Morgenthau Plan usw.
Das Problem bei direkter Demokratie ist natürlich, dass alles im Populismus endet. Guck dir die Schweiz an.

Sehe ich nicht so ! Die Einführung einer Währung kann nach Aufklärung der Pro und Kontras schon vom Volk abgesegnet werden. ( siehe Preisentwicklung, Lebensmittel, Elektronik und Löhne/ Gehälter ). Integration ebenfalls. Wenn die Politik und die Wirtschaft nicht so viel unter der Decke halten würden, gäbe es manche Probleme von vornherein nicht und würden auch nicht solche Wellen in der Presse und in der Bevölkerung schlagen. Kommunikation ist der Schlüssel.

Germany does have a "direct voting" element in its democratic system. (see "Volksentscheid" in wikipedia or something) And of course the possibility to for example change the democratic voting system to vote directly for the Chancellor or President (which is also voted for indirectly). (2/3 of the Bundestag vote would b required for such a change, but whatever still theoretically possible)
But all in all so far our German Democracy is very stable and working well as it is !

But, he can say Willkommen to the audience and Merkel uses much body language as well as her eyes to agree or disagree with him. Then, it cuts her out completely and only zooms in on him. Now Germany, Merkel, was one of the 3 or 4 countries voting against the Libia war. I don't know wether it was the better decision (for me it was not), but at least it represents the exact opposite to Bush.

Germany has become an important ally to the USA, because of it's excellent diplomatic and economic contacts to Russia, China and the middle east to mediate american and european interests, but of course Britain and Germany share more interests because we are Europeans. Brown was a mess, but Cameron and Merkel agree on most issues today. Hopefully your british government finally realises that Britain and Germany must work closer togehter to adjust our foreign policies to the USA

Germany and the U.S. need to work collectively to deal with an Islamicizing Europe and the threats an unassimilated populus may pose to society as a whole. The President is doing an unparalelled job at tackling the tough issues of our time in a calm and calculated way - a way in which America shows and utilizes its strengths and minimizes the potential for a cynical world that does not get much done. We have left the old lines of isolation and postponement behind.

Yeah Obama is amazing, lets see with him becoming our president by 2012 we are going to be entering WWIII, IMO its going to look something like this. Russia, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, China, Venezuela, and some of those small countrys no one cares about. VS USA, UK, EU(all the countrys of EU), japan, Israel, and others Theres some wildcards, for instance, Saudi Arabia, India, Syria. Now i know Iraq and Iran don't like each other, but given the circumstances this outcome is still possible

Obama is the best thing that has happened to America and the rest of the world. It becomes quite clear as to who is destroying America upon finding that the total number of people despising Obama and his administration within the US far exceeds the amount of people outside of it. Germany should enforce real sanctions on the Iranian regime. So should Japan if you ask me.

You may think that the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank that our US Constitution forbids has money, but you would be wrong: Just like the empty hallows of Fort Knox, the FED has swapped all its treasury paper for all these worthless toxic assets that wiped out the banking system. If we get a Ron Paul styled audit of the FED, you will see it holds no value at all. This is also why Germany Prime Minister last week pissed on the FED: They know it is broke & Germany wants its gold bullion back!
