even gone in it was so dark, then the other guys (Laird and Percy) still get a chance to hit, to try and match what Byrd did, but obviously that wasn't gonna happen!

@ghijsch he didn't even see it go in, and this was the 7th or 8th time he had to play this hole that weekend. i think he was just so tired by this point and more relieved than excited that this reaction was a more natural one. and yeah, it's not nice when you celebrate a hole in one on a 3 man playoff unless you're the third guy off.

I also shoulda added that as I recorded this I had Cameron Percy to win €200. So this kinda fucked me up. LOL. At least I lost to a good shot. Also it was so dark he actually didn't know he holed it. The camera makes it look bright but it was 5 mins away from sun set and if it wasn't finished on this hole they woulda been comin back today to

@CutterHistorical never. closest thing to this was aoki holing out from the rough for eagle to win hawaiian open as jack renner was in the house knowing that aoki needed birdie to force a playoff. still remember the look on renner's face when he was told what aoki did. amazingly, the following year, renner won the tourney.
