  • Rest In Paradise Rachel i miss you so much gorgeous! You were one of the most beautiful people i knew and Were all thinking about you down here everyday. I can't wait for the day we all get to see your amazing smile once again :) :)

  • @facetha I think that your a cruel worthless piece of shit that has nothing better to do but sit at your computer and watch your screen smoking your rock and saying retarded shit!!!! What if that was your family members??? Would you be saying the same shit?? Probably not!! Or would you, goes to show what kind of people are in this world that there fathers should have made her swallow!!!! Grow the fuck up!!!

  • thumbs up if you live in Orillia or Muskoka

  • "Sabourin then turned onto Memorial Avenue and accelerated through the intersection of Highway 12, the SIU noted.

At that point, the communications centre supervisor ordered the subject officer to stop the chase "due to excessive speed of the pursued vehicle."

The officer complied, slowed down and shut off the cruiser's sirens and flashing lights, the SIU noted."

Say what? Stop wasting my tax money on these blatant liars!!! @mattitude75 Maybe they are unbiased, just legally blind.

  • I don't condone the actions of the deceased, but this is absolute crap. What a joke we have for an "SIU". The video CLEARLY demonstrates that their report is a lie, that the cruisers flew threw that intersection and did not at any time cut the lights or sirens until the car disingtegrated around that hydro pole. Not only that, there was never a request from dispatch to call off the chase.

In this case I call total BS.

See the whole nonsense report in the Barrie Examiner.

  • @sirkenin It is crap and we as citizens have no say after the fact, it just is what it is. "Apparently" the SIU is a separate entity not afiliated withe the police union and are supposed to be unbiased. Yeah right.

  • @sirkenin The "Stand Down" Call is at the 3 second mark of the video...... apparently the combination of noise and adrenaline prevented anyone from backing off. At this point the outcome was inevitable anyways. The actual stand down order should have been closer to hwy 11 at the first entry to Orillia, before OPP GHQ in the 50 Km/hr zone leading into town. Just a thought.

  • Police win again I guess. What a load of bullshit. Everybody can see that they are clearly pursuing but SIU finds no wrongdoing LOL! This is the world we live in where this kind of shit can go unpunished. Actual excerpt from the press release "The SIU designated and interviewed six witness officers. One officer was designated as a subject officer. He, as is his right, declined to be interviewed or supply his notebook entries to the SIU" This is our tax dollars hard at work.

  • Very glad that they BOTH are dead.... occupants of the vehicle..

  • @facetha LOL nice thing to say

  • @facetha why dont you go burn in hell! why the fuck would you say that! thats my sister!

  • And just to be clear, yes i know others could have been at risk because of the high speed chase, but the police killed no one. They killed themselves. Even if the police stopped that car would still have sped through town and a big chance of killing someone else. Then the police would be at fault for not chasing them. The police cant win, and the public just likes to bitch. Go become a cop, and then come back run your mouth about their incompetence. No matter what you always lose with the public.

  • Sorry for your loss....

  • the cops sitting in a tim hortens to be exact

  • Calling off police chases would just result in selfish wreckless people taking off more thinking they can get away with it. This would result in innocent people getting killed. Its very unfortunate what happened here to these young people and I definitely feel sorry for the families involved.

  • was this filmed by a cop sitting in a fast food parking lot?

  • @JustSomeGuyOk It was probably someone with a scanner.

  • @JustSomeGuyOk

no just someone with a police scanner

  • it isn't the cops fault, they didn't stop their vehicle maybe they were hiding something their have been police chases where they find bodys in the trunk of the car

  • Shitty cops.

  • I live in Orillia, and when my dad drove by the reck that morning, he took pictures and it was terrible. The front bumper of the car was all the way across the street, and the car was split in two. Front end and Back end. what we think happened was that the car hit the curb and curved into the pole kind of at an angle, and thats what split it in two. Its so terrible. Jacob Sabourin, 28, and Rachel Merredew, 19 were the victims. I am so sorry to anyone who knew them.

  • @silentthunder.. You have no clue what she was in to or how she lived... Obviously you missed the point that she was in LOVE with her dumbass boyfriend.. she chose him over anything in his life... So obviously it ws HER choice to... So before you go off with you immature name calling look in the mirror at the monster your own parents raised and hope to god they are not around to know the person you have become they would be ashamed to know you now

  • @silentscreamlovehate damn, you crazy! im no monster; all i have to say was that the whole incident could have been avoided but it wasn't, and it was a tragic loss for all involved.. no matter who did what. does that not make sense to anyone here? i called you a moron because you spazzed out on me and sent me nasty comments just because I had my own opinion... which I'm allowed to have, and you to yours. seriously folks, lets all try to get along now...

  • @silentthunder By the way.. Shows what a LOW LIFE you are by calling names with people YOU dont know... How am I a moron ? Because I have all my facts in order? Because I will not lay BLAME on two people who are BOTH at fault??? Or is it because I made you see just what a heartless moron you can be??? Not much of a friend to her father are you??? Id say you are a nobody with nothing better to do then kay judgement on someone you say you met ONCE ..

  • @silent thunder.... All i have to say and for the rest of you as well I feel sorry for you and Ill pray for you....

  • @ silent thunder... who the hell are you to say who is innocent and who isnt??? Did you not know it was HER friend they were going to see?? Or it was HER car that HER dad you know so well wanted her to get even though she had NO lisence??? or how about the fact that she smokes weed and was in a ADDICTIONS course?? I think you should get all your facts before you go flapping your lips with who is to blame here.. They BOTH got in that car and THEY BOTH died.. Get a life

  • @silentscreamlovehate thats great, but he was the one driving, & the police could have used some common sense & called off the chase as MANY departments do when a chase gets out of hand. im just saying that it was a tragedy all around, and one that could have been averted. no parent wants to bury a child; if you were a parent, you would know the feeling. lot of emotion & negative feelings on this page! lol... god, its seems like common sense is absent up there in Canada.. & you get a life, moron

  • @silenthunder85 Canada is the best country in the world, and i'm guessing your from the states. Well we have free halthcare. Do you? Exactly. EH!

  • @BluejayJones Indeed from the States, and yes, I have free healthcare because I am military and have therefore EARNED it... enjoy your government handouts; it is socialism/communism on a smaller scale... everyone gets a fair slice of the pie, no matter how hard they work.. do you like the fact that you work your ass off at a normal job so the crackheads on Bank St in Ottawa can have free healthcare? Does that idea really make sense to you? Doesn't seem fair, does it?

  • hey stupid read my comment - the first part was a quote. I was disagreeing with the brakes. Or are you too stupid to figure that out. BTW - i am a male

  • the girl who was killed-- my wife and i know her father; my wife actually met her once. she had nothing to do with anything and was a terrified passenger who could not do anything/get out of the car. the cops are retarded for not calling off the chase; many police departments do such a thing when the chase gets out of control. This was CLEARLY out of control... perhaps if they had, she would have been able to get away. unprofessional police work at its finest.. way to go.

  • @silenthunder85 The cops are "retarded"? Nice. Coud you have chosen another word perhaps? Very classy...you retard.

  • @cunninm "retarded" means delayed or resistant (ex. fire RETARDANT clothing) but is often used in the context of mental retardation, which indicates a learning disability (the lack of one's ability to LEARN), which has been clearly demonstrated time & time again by police departments around the world... so to answer your question: No; I believe the word is rather fitting in this case, and you are retarded as well for not understanding the context... now wipe the drool off your chin, retard.

  • In what way did cops handle it wrong? Spikes were layed before actually entering Orillia...The car entered by OPP Headquarters...Cops did the correct thing being they were able to get lots of cops out and make sure everything was clear...before ANY real damage was done. Only two people losing there lives is alot better then a few more. God bless the family that lost those in the accident...but thank the cops for ending it before any other lives were sacrificed

  • @jimboslob Spike Strips are use of deadly force and should be treated the same as an officer's sidearm.

This video clearly shows the results of what happens when spikes are used.

Unless of course these persons did something to provoke such force other than speeding and not stopping.

Spike Strips should be made illegal or at the very least controlled for use in extreme cases just like an officer's weapon.

  • They chose there own fate, they could of pulled over and had a fine and served some jail time. Instead they decided to put others lives at risk by trying to escape the cops. I dont feel sorry for them at all. They made a stupid decsion , and were lucky no one else was hurt. But honestly doing something that stupid one could only expect fatal consequences. There is no justification in what they did, the cops handled it wrong but the drivers of the vehicle themselves are the ones who started it

  • They chose there own fate, they could of pulled over and had a fine and served some jail time. Instead they decided to put others lives at risk by trying to escape the cops. • I would just like to say to everyone on here my house was just right outside where the crash happened. It has been hard on me since this happened. I still dream about that horrible night. So people please leave those two people rest in peace. We will never know why they ran, but we all can not say such Nasty things about people we don't even know.

  • Alas I have to come back to clear up the bullshit you people seem to come across.

    a) he was driving (yes I know the cop said otherwise, but I think he was calling the vehicle in general a "she" - you see this "slang" used lots. (FACT)

    b) the car was not stolen, i don't know where you read this in an article, because there are NO articles stating that. He bought her the car as a present. (FACT)

    c) The SIU are finding more and more evidence AGAINST the police (another fact)

    JUST FYI!

  • @tdeno23 Here's and FYI for ya... He, she, it... whatever. The fact is they ran from the Police. End of story. The only blessing out of all this is that no "innocent" people were killed

    (FACT)

  • @cunninm the girl was innocent; my wife and i know her father and my wife met her once also... she was not that sort of person; rather, a terrified passenger who was unable to exit the vehicle (obviously) and ended up paying with her life for her boyfriend's dumbass choices.

  • @cunninm

    It was a he.

Grow the fuck up and have a heart. Mindless pos.

  • @tdeno23 OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • at the site of the crash there are memorial cards posted for the two that have died.

so, their identity, is somewhat know, i suppose.

    its so sad.

  • The Spike Strips that the police threw under this car just before it crashed should be made illegal. IMO they are use of deadly force as this video shows. I wonder if the people in this car did something other than speeding to justify the use of such force?

Might as well use guns to stop speeding cars. Both are lethal weapons. At least with a gun the police may give you a warning that they are going to use deadly force. With spike strips??????

  • There is nothing wrong with this video. It does not show anyone being ejected out of the car, show the total accident or anything. And as you can clearly hear the officer said "SHE" so, it was a female driving. Yes it's sad that they died but, they could have killed a child, a preg women and many many more. They should have tought before doing this. If they would have been going slow live everyone else, they could have got away without getting hurt or anyone else. I'm sorry but, no pitty.

  • They haven't released any information and a lot of the information from people in here is only rumor & rudeness. Hopefully they will release more information soon to make sense out of this horrific accident that could have been prevented.

  • anybody know if they were intoxicated or something?

  • I realize that everything gets recorded and posted on the internet without thought nowadays. But, as other posters have said, these two young people had famlies. Having spent the last week trying to protect my family from seeing this video, which shows the final moments of their loved one, I only wish the people who recorded it had thought twice about posting it

  • Aggg ur glasses and blinde hair and the fact that you look like a complete retard kinda makes me feel better about what kind of life you have... Your life looks to be nothing but birds on your shoulder.. LOL awww I feel sorry for you

  • I wont be back on here i dont need the negativity coming from two lost people and even more on here... BUT I do forgive you cause one day you will need it, I will say prayers for you cause you will need that as well and I will also wish nothing but the worst for you in every possible way to come your way with all my power and each and every single day....

  • im sorry did i I ACTUALLY assume something about your life as a KID???? WOW are you not the one doing that about two people you probably dont even know... Show just how messed in the head you really are

  • Awww wow you and 87 beemer must be the two most perfect beings on this earth... Buit im sure this earth will be just fine without you to GOOFS on this planet... What u have to say mneans nothing because gee look what it comes from someone who spends all their time on you tube because you have no life... I feel sad and sorry for you.. I am positive things will come your way in the near future I only hope that people are much nicer towards you and your heartless soul, but u have no soul either sad

  • we cant blame you for hating people or judging them... I mean come on now it is so easy to hate people because you hate yourself.. I am sorry for u being such a loser and Hope to god one day you find a heart before it is to late for you... I actually laugh with you because i feel sorry for you. Alot of people on here I feel sorry for and I know and feel that one day your day will come... I hope all ur parents and family member know u for who u really are and are ashamed to be related to you

  • well NOONE on here thinks you are perfect cause you have nothing good to say so everyone dont let his lowlife bum on here tell you words from hate and jealousy (jealous cause he died with the love of his life) u probably dont even have a cat to love or anything to love you back..

  • You have no heart and we cannot help you with that.. I can only imagine your family being the most perfect family until they realize how much they screwed up with you as kid.. I can just see the love they would have for you to hate and say such things about two human souls.. So they made mistakes, maybe they should have met uyp with you first and should have gotten advice from you on how to be perfect..

  • To all the people who have nice things to say... THANK YOU, to HARHEM it is obvious your nothing in life and going no where.. NOW did u have to use spell check for the word google?? Wow so you can google a persons name up.. DID u not realize that JACOB SABOURIN has PASSED on?? so tell us all what did you get out of digging up his past?? Wow you must have a heart of gold to be saying such things about the dead..

  • @mindblowing17 Yes I do know that he died. Am I suppose say nice things because he diedf? Fact!!! He drove the care at dangerous speeds. FACT!!! He could of pulled over. This person could of killed someone. This was not a mistake. This was a choice. And we do not hate ourselves. Maybe i come from a generation that has brains and believe in personal responsibility. You called me screwed up as a kid. I never drove my parents cars / my car like a rectal orifice.

  • were they drinking or something? damn fools lost their lives instead of the license...

  • Canadian police chase filmed from the parking lot of a Tim Horton's. Classic.

  • sorry they are gone but thank god they didnt turn the corner or it could have been my house and my children.. WTF...

  • Should of had a 5 hour energy

could of had hours of energy now

    no crash later......

  • What these two did is the equivalent of firing a loaded hand gun down memorial ave. Not acceptable. Sorry they're dead, but they were the one's leading the chase.

  • Your not a mother obviously. LoL... Cause children are always your children, no matter how old they get. None of us are perfect, even though there seems to be a lot of you on here that think u are. Google all you want, I'm not interested cause that wouldn't tell me who he really was!

  • @raquely1977 - My reporductive oragans prevent em from being a mother. I do agree that nonE of us are perfect. none olf us said we were. That being said - THE VAST MAJORITY OF US HAVE THE BRAINS TO PULL OVER. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE - Maybe he was on a parole violation considering his past

  • So it is mother' s day. so what!! They are young adults . They are no longer kids. What if they made some other family suffer by running into them instead of the pole. As for him not being a criminal, about 4 years ago he went to jail. Google his name Hint. he was in Cornwall at the time. He also was charge for violating parole.

  • Every1 is still going on! Today is Mothers Day & 2 Mothers have lost a child each, regardless of who was at fault or who hates who or what stories people in here want to think they know. Instead go by the crash site & leave a little something, like i did & Let them rest in peace

  • What's done is done, no need to criticize the two people in the car, or police.

  • @maxwithjax Perfectly said.

  • Do you people realize that Memorial was the first easily accessible exit from the start of the chase? Every other turnoff prior is practically a 90 degree cutoff, naturally impossible to exit at high speed. Why didn't the police think of this? If they had just blocked the exits to Orillia, this video wouldn't exist, no one would be bitching about someone shitting in their backyard & these two might still be alive. People of Orillia should be pissed at the cops, not just these two.

  • @thisisunreal1 if they would of STOPPED they would still be alive

  • @harhem Yes, they would be. However, my point was that the police must deal with situations when people don't stop or break the law in some way. If everybody obeyed the law, we wouldn't need police. They are there to quell a bad situation but, must use every tool in their power not to compound the situation into something that may result in greater, collateral damage.

  • I was good friends with Jacob...And it is a great loss to those who knew them...They were not criminals by anymeans..Just 2 young souls who chose to try and outrun the police as opposed to pulling over...They are at fault..Just as much as the police who were chasing them and deployed a spike strip for them to run-over in excess of 100mph or kmh whichever...Fact is 2 young people lost their lives that night and will be dearly missed by friends and family..Have Some Respect People..Its Not TV !!!

  • @batesynam I am sorry they are gone. How ever again I live just around the corner.. my family could have lost their lives because they thought they were above the LAW... and by doing what they did it made them criminals... how ever I wouldnt wish death on any one may they rest in peace

  • for those who read this, watch that video, and remember, people - including me - knew at least one of them who died in the accident. i don't think rachel planned on being killed. and i don't think a good portion of these comments make them feel any happier about the situation.

  • I understand what these two kids did was wrong by not stopping for the police and they put innocent people at risk.. but we all have to remember that two young kids.. Someones children, brother, sister, friend died in this accident.. the parents of these kids had to go and identify their childrens mangled bodies on a cold metal slab.. Have some respect!

  • @VictoriaHenry062609 The police in Orillia should have called it off. But being an insane police state like city they wouldnt ever have done that. I've been hassled by police as we were WALKING home from the bar...then they antagonized my friends and I by trying to insult our educations ect ( and we were the intoxicated ones) we laughed it off as they surrounded us with mountain bikes, and cars...actually my friend was crying he was laughing so hard. We gave these people badges and guns!

  • All they had to do was STOP! But instead they decided to try and out run the police! They put the lives of everyone on HWY 11 and on Memorial at risk by pulling this stunt! It is NOT the fault of the police!

Katmil 1987 Failed breaks you say?

Its called TAKE YOUR FOOT OF THE GAS AND THE CAR WILL SLOW DOWN! This car never slowed even after the spike belt! There were NO failed breaks here! Just two people who thought it was a smooth move to try and out run the police..

  • @pinkblossom0206 ...Ignorant Disgusting Troll...Get A Fucken Life Loser !!!

  • Katmil1987 quoted " and did anyone think that maybe once he was going to fast, he WANTED to stop or slow down but couldn't because of failed brakes!! this very well might be the case as well!!"

As taken from a well know movie" Do you really want me to believe you are that stupid"

Ever heard of shutting off the engine

  • @harhem ya. he looked like he was tying to slow down...

  • @harhem FAILED BRAKES? get a fucking life you stupid cunt

  • For all you people on here who think Jacob stole the car, you're WRONG!!! it WAS his car!!! and did anyone think that maybe once he was going to fast, he WANTED to stop or slow down but couldn't because of failed brakes!! this very well might be the case as well!!

  • @katmil1987 maybe he should have put the car in neutral....friction and wind resistance would have slowed him down then

  • @wilsonentertizement maybe he couldn't remember which one was the brake pedal....

  • Sure the guy who stole the car is to blame for the incident, but how responders act should not be ignored. Mistakes can be corrected, and wrongs can be righted, but not if they lie on there report or accounting of what happened. Or worse, the entire district team lies to the public about how it went down

If the police were just doing there job and following procedure, then why did they lie about what happened? Obviously this will need to be investigated like any chase leading to a crash.

  • @JayEff013 Might I suggest that those who propose to know how these things actually play out in real life, spend a bit of time learning what and how these thing really happen. Ask to do a ride along, put yourselves in their shoes. With the modern tools such as gps and black boxes, the SIU will be able to recreate this event, and I would bet that things transpired exactly as it was stated by the police. Either that, or take some some to carefully review the video, they were not in pursuit.

  • @87beemer535 Saying they were not in pursuit is like saying Orillia doesn't have a crack problem. First you think that if you go for a ride along your gonna be getting the real experience like that officer is gonna act like he normally does with his fellow officers? Nope. Second we all have secrets at our jobs that the public doesn't know about, like doing half assed jobs or lying to the customers about something. whether you work at Tim Hortons or your a car salesman or in this case a cop.

  • @87beemer535 I know for a fact that police look down on the general public, we are all pretty much idiots with no clue about anything in their eyes. Thats why when you question them they get mad and agitated. I don't give a shit if they have tough jobs, it's what they signed up for, deal with it.

  • @87beemer535 You are a fucking idiot. No one here is absolving the driver of blame, NOR ARE WE BLAMING THE POLICE FOR THE CHASE. But we are pissed off about the police issuing an official LIE to the press. This is where the issue with the police comes in, not because they continued pursuit, but because they chose to lie about it afterwards. How you cannot grasp this incredibly simple concept is beyond me. The police didn't have to say they called it off - but they did. Why? Why lie?

  • @spent1985 a typical young punk jerk that doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Grow up jerk!!

  • @87beemer535 simply a realist whom has seen multiple cases of police departments covering up things, employing agent provocateurs, and other abuses of power. Age has nothing to do with the facts, I remember the G20 just as a remember Montebello and countless other instances within our province, (Habitual Heidi), country (G20, Tasering an unarmed man to death in a BC airport), and internationally - Google police corruption it isn't a new phenomenon. doesn't mean there aren't great cops too.

  • @87beemer535 There was absolutely no need for the lie, as most people would understand if the police had continued pursuit clearly the driver was being an idiot. There was no need to lie yet they do so anyways to cover their own ass and absolve themselves completely, quite frankly it makes me sick. All they had to do is not make up tall tales. Do you work for the OPP?

  • @spent1985 never have, not for any police department. You will find out, that they did as they said,

  • The video is very interesting. It appears that the 2 cruisers immediately behind the fleeing car had just joined in, they seem to be coming from the parking lot at a hotel. The cruisers on Memorial are actually 12-13 seconds back of the Honda. The 2 cruisers pulled out infront of the cruisers on the road, the cars behind couldn't have been going very fast. The collision happens just seconds after the cars pulled out, hardly a pursuit on their part. The other cars were blocking cross streets.

  • Some food for thought. Change just one part of this tragic event. He survives the crash. Where would he be now? In jail, facing numerous criminal charges, including but not limited to: Theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, criminal neglegence causing death, dangerous driving causing death, flight from police, and that's just the big ones. And what if instead he had hit/killed an innocent pedestrian/motorist down the road? Unfortunately, that happens all too often.

  • She got into the car with her boyfriend, and unless she was a total lunch bucket, she knew it wan't his car, and that the ignition had been punched. What was she thinking, that he found the car? Sounds like a young girl wanting to please the boyfriend. I know it's not always popular to hold people accountable for their actions these days, but that was a choice she made, just like he made the choices he did.

  • @87beemer535 ....Your A Fucken Moron...You Need To Stop Flappin Your Lips For Nuthin...Get A Life Assehole !!

  • @87beemer535

Show what you know he got that car FOR her IT was her car so before you flap your lips on here get a life and try and get your own pathetic life in order before you tell other how to love theirs

  • The funniest part of some of these comments is that it is blatantly obvious who the actual police are that are commenting here. It's not hard to tell. Come on guys you know this shit isn't right. Think about before you became a police officer, would you still feel the same way, I doubt it. If it wasn't for this video we would just sit back and take the lies about the chase being called off, not this time.

  • Another One Bites the Dust

  • this says a lot: from a Facebook site related to this: by Jenn Stiles-Maclean

Cory wanted me to share this memory he has of Jacob. I guess when they were teens i guess they stole someones car and took off for a road trip to New Brunswick together....lol I know it wasnt the smartest thing for them to do but he will never forget that road trip with Jacob. Cory was soo proud of him trying to get his life back on track.

  • @87beemer535

WOW so you can copy and paste from facebook what is ur obsession with making them look bad get a life you low life loser... you really need a life

  • running from the police in a stolen car at high rates of speed is not a mistake, it's a deliberate calculated and criminal act. 27 kiolmeters is plenty of time to think about it, the driver was not a little kid, he was an adult. As tragic as this is, trying to place blame for it on the police is foolish nonsense. Certainly there's no need for name calling but call it what it is, a crime, not a mistake.

  • So what your all saying is that you all have proof of exactly what went down? U were there? What your also saying is that just because people can be police, means their GOD and don't make mistakes or won't harm people or make stupid choices like the ones they made Tuesday.

  • @raquely1977 Seems to me the stupid choices were made by those in the stolen car. I didn't see any one else wipe out.

  • Let me get this right. Steal someones car, drive like a mad man elude police, still drive like a mad man even after blown tires, put peoples lives at risk and blame the cops?!?! Rediculous. One person to blame for this, it's the criminal behind the wheel. Police doing their jobs, the job us law abiding citizens pay them to do. My guess is the driver was heading to the local reserve to elude the cops, sounds like someone that has done this before. No sympathy for the occupants, they decided.

  • @87beemer535 You're right. At the very least the driver was a criminal being chased. However, there is a law regarding chasing people into city limits which seems to have been broken here. Then a statement was released saying the chase had been stopped, but we see it clearly wasn't. That is the issue people are having. Police broke the law then lied about it. No biggy. There are assholes in every profession.

  • @Redbeardian Just to clarify something, the officers are acting in regard to a federal staute, and a city bylaw has no force under these situations. The officers are in hot pursuit and are covered by the criminal code provisions. PS, The pursuit was terminated less than 30 seconds before the crash, and the officers were 5 seconds back. They don't pull over and stop, that's not what terminate means in these circumstances, they trail the vehicle, but not on his butt.

  • Arm chair quarter backs are a-dime-a-dozen and there are many people who think they can do a specific job way better than those doing it. If you think you can, apply, try to get hired and then do that job. Someone will probably criticize you for the job you are doing then, especially Policing. Remember, the person driving in this "event" made the decision not to stop. Officers would have been criticized if they didn't pursue the driver and they killed someone.

  • @thisisoutdoorsON you nailed it.

  • @thisisoutdoorsON your user name leads me to suggest that you are in Ontario, if so you should know well enough that whether it becomes part of the "public" record or not, the officers in pursuit are going to get a royal @ss rogering from their superiors for NOT breaking off pursuit when it became apparent a public hazard was being created by the pursuit, as that is the case across this province regardless of the particular region the chase is in.

  • Hey raquely1977. FUCK YOU. Stupid cunt, If you feel sorry for the guy who was driving I would Piss in your fucking face. The girl is sad. This happened in my town. He's lucky he dies cause we would have killed him otherwise. Fucking loser punk. This looks good on him.

  • @MrMcclory

I wish everyone else would get this through their thick skulls. well said MrMcclory.

  • Families & Friends of Rachael & Jacob.. I'm truly sorry for your loss.. Your families are in our prayers. I almost died a year ago & I look at life much differently now, Each moment we have is precious. Take care & keep strong for each other... GOD bless you all.. hugz

  • No raquely. IT IS REALITY. I do not take any medications. Maybe that is why i can think normally. They ran from the police . Are you really that stupid to see this. The idiot driver could of crashed into an SOMEONE ELSE and killed them. Instead thier stupid actions cause them to "dig thier own graves". You have the police behind you with lights flashing - PULL OVER. . This was not a mistake - it was a bad CHOICE

  • Comment removed

  • Every criminal has parents so what is the point in saying that it is someones child.

This idiot did not pull over. If the parents are reading this. Your sweatheart misunderstood son decided not to outrun police. If you do something that stupid you have to pay. As for saying what if is was us. 99 % of us would pull over so give up on this narchist crap

  • ENOUGH EVERY-ONE , Have respect for family & friends of Rachael & Jacob are reading this. Wanna fight/ spread rumours? take it elsewhere. No-one really knows exactely what happened & who are we to judge! To the family & friends of these poor 2 young people, I'm truly sorry for your loss, My fianc'e & I feel bad & can't stop thinking of this sad tragedy. Our hearts are with you & GOD bless all of you. HUGZ

  • @raquely1977 stupidity is not a tragedy a natural disaster is a tragedy, a murder or accident is a tragedy but not when you do something this stupid there are bound to be life threatening consequences and in this case it was there life if you want to morn people who are in real tragedies morn the people who die yearly of starvation or those killed in natural disasters not those who brought it upon themselves.

  • they died in the car crash it was my best friend and her stupid boyfriend he didnt want to pull over

  • @MasterFnog No, but that lamp post that you drove into which ejected your body on to the road did.

  • they wrote in the local paper that the police called off the chase at the 15th line. but clearly they were on the car up on till there demise. i live in orillia and chances are if they did call off the chase those people would have chosin a different route to get away. when all the intersections at 12 and memorial have cops in them they chose to go straight. to many cowboy cops in this town!!! so screw anyone stickin up for the cops!!!

  • well the car was stolen....and they tried to outrun the cops .....a sad situation but the police had to do thier jobs..

  • These posts are disgusting and adding to our family's pain. She was someone's only grandchild. Someone's only child. Someone's only niece. She was enrolled in university and had hopes and dreams as we had for her. Until you have walked in these shoes, and unless you have never made a mistake, please don't judge or make assumptions without facts. Let her spirit continue its journey in peace. Your bickering is senseless. Find a better use for your time - each moment we have is precious.

  • @nervygirls I hate to say it but you admitting to being a family member is only going to make the situation worse. People feed off of crap like that here, it's disgusting.. but true.

  • @nervygirls most people who are showing distaste in this incident are doing so towards the driver i honestly work probably less then 30 meters from where this happened and so it was on everyone's mind when i came into work the next day everyone thinks the guy driving was an idiot and with out knowing the full extent of what went on showed no hatred or resentment to the passenger. that being said we all make our own decisions going to university doesn't make you an angel or 100% innocent.

  • @cloudvszell True. We all make mistakes, but we don't all commit crimes. The passenger may have been a victim, but the lesson should be, don't get into a stolen car.

  • @87beemer535 i agree completely but the circumstance surrounding her getting into the car are a unknown as far as im aware and for that you cant speculate that she was innocent or guilty

  • Stop the car like you are required to do and this would not have happened. Simple.

  • Wow all I can say after seeing some of the comments on here. Before slamming anyone, the whole story needs to be heard before judging. Relying on a video from one camera only paints a very small picture of what happened. As for the comments condeming police.....the people making those comments are in the positions they are due to their ignorance. Those men and women due the best they can with what laws Everyone has a hand in making. It's called democracy. The driver made his choice, the passeng

  • too bad they both died ....

it was in the paper ...

  • This is almost as bad as the tazer issue. Retards wanna run, wanna resist, then too bad. I feel bad for the girl, but she wouldn't be a statistic if he hadn't have run. Justadropofsperm...gfkyrslf. A guy with a cellphone camera is "amazing" and the cops that are trying to protect your @ss are bad people!? Just a punk kid is my guess.

  • Most police don't actualy straight out want to lie, they cover up because they are bound to serve the public and what it wants. Everybody does what they want, including the police, including the two people who died, the rest of us do what we want, say what we want, which is extraodinarly easy when our life is not on the line.

There's a saying, "When you point a finger there are three fingers pointing back at you".

  • They fought the pole and the... POLE WON.

  • omg. that was my cousins best friend in that car being chased. RIP.

  • disgrace

  • yes cuz u no, watching police flying by the road is so interesting!

  • Looks good on these fuckin morons, endangering other peoples lives. The police were clearly backing off. Sure am glad no inocent people or officers were hurt.

  • lets hope disorderly conduct has better clips of this chase :/

  • whats the point of this video??????

  • @justdropem

What's the point of this video... Are you kidding.. This video shows that the police pursuit continued right to the crash, which caused 2 deaths. The Police never did back off like they said they did... The video was taken from the Arby's parking lot, just down the street from the crash. I think this person that took this video is amazing that he shows the police do lie to cover up. If the S.I.U find the police not at fault, then they clearly all sleep in the same bed!

  • @raquely1977 Regardless of what the police did you should always pull over when they try to stop your vehicle.

You should not run away and drive at 120 km/h after running over a spike strip... That is poor judgment and its going to be hard for anybody to feel sorry for you.

I read that both victims were ejected from the car which tells me they weren't wearing seat belts. One of several bad choices they made that morning.

Its a difficult situation but the police did nothing wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @raquely1977 I'm just saying that cops don't show up to work everyday saying "Hey lets go shoot somebody today or lets chase somebody and see if we can get away with it"

  • @raquely1977 oh i just had no idea on the back up story here

  • @raquely1977 So just because they are still following the chase is on right. Really what should the cops have done pull over and let them kill someone else????? If you pay attention to the video the cops are following BUT are not doing the same speed as the blue honda. They have to follow just incase something happened and guess what something did. I feel sorry for the two people who were killed, but why were they running from the cops they caused this not the Police.

  • @NXTGEN9 you nailed it, some don't understand what terminate means, the cruisers followed about 5 seconds back, an acceptable distance, and the Honda didn't slow down, he had every intention of continuing to drive like a mad man, and that's what cost him and the girl their lives, not the actions of police doing their job.

  • It would be nice to know what behavior caused the chase. What was the initial crime?. I live on an 80 kilometer speed zone highway and there isn't a night goes by where the cops don't blow down the road with the sparklers on and the siren off well over the speed limit. It's easy to check with a measured kilometer and a stop watch. I hope these kids didn't die because they were profiled.

  • i seeeee tim HORTONSSS XD
