  • @zoo1619 the lightning would have been the thing that lit it....

  • Looks like Newt Gingrich's latest meltdown...

  • diiieee nazzis diiieee

  • He took an arrow to the knee.

  • @yocam420

    @keefriff99

    @kuhne

The maturity among viewers of such a shitty event is amazing.

  • I wonder what ever became of the news reporter, who was he? what was his name?

  • @MasterTiarnan Herbert Morrison.

  • @MasterTiarnan Herbert Morrison. He was actually making an audio-only recording for his radio station, and the audio was later dubbed to the newsreel. There's an article on wiki.

  • OH LA HUMANIDAD!!!

  • Fantastic piece of film, we are lucky to have it. What a great job of reporting this man did.

  • I spent the entire time lmfao at the guy commentating...

  • @TheAdjundantReflex because your sick.

  • @blink182scotty

No, I'm not. No one died in the Hindenburg disaster, therefore there's nothing wrong with laughing a bit.

  • @TheAdjundantReflex 35 people died on the ship and one person on the ground was killed. get some education!

  • @blink182scotty

    Oh : /

Then I withdraw my previous statements and apologize.

  • @TheAdjundantReflex good for apologising man.

  • @TheAdjundantReflex I hope you step on a lego.

  • [1:00] Herbert Morrison, Radio Announcer: "I...I can't talk, ladies and gentlemen. Honest: It's just laying there, mass of SMOKING wreckage *cries*"

    That's what I heard.

  • Do I thumbs up this b/c I appreciate the posting, or do I thumbs down it because it's a tragedy?

  • @Ciuuzz Dumbass

  • dumbass

  • Inappropriate Party Guy shows up and yells Rawwwwwww

  • Why no 720p?

  • @SKYLURKIN oh i dunno............ CUZ IT WASNT FUCKING RECORDED IN 720P IN 19 FUCKING 37

  • @JK420Y Don't feed the trolls.

  • @SKYLURKIN Congratulations, among all the dumb fucking shit I've read on Youtube, this comment is by far the dumbest.

    Please do not have children.

  • @SKYLURKIN It was going to be recorded in 720p but then it took an arrow to the knee.

  • @MADEUQEN shut up...

  • who's hugh manaty?! lol

  • Una triste pieza de la historia

  • Awesome reaction, tragic event. I laughed at his reaction but it showed his emotions a lot

  • I'm not sure whether to like or dislike this video. What a sad day.

  • If you look up Lakehurst NJ on google maps, and look at the airfield, and zoom in, and drag the orange man to where you see the blue dots on the map, you'll see the Hindenburg Memorial. They also still have the humongo-sized hangar where it stayed as a memorial.

  • Damn.

  • that moment at 0:35 when you see the word Hindenburg and then the flames just close in on it is one of the most powerful things I've ever seen. Wow.

  • The reporter overreacted. "Worst catastrophe in the world"? I don't think so. Yes, it was certainly shocking, but other reporters have seen worse and stayed calmer.

  • Dedicated to the 36 who lost their lives in this horrific disaster.

  • It's kinda awkward, first they ran off and then they came back running. People from the past seems to be undecided..

  • @Ciuuzz Dude, they ran off because they were scared the airship might fall over their heads! Then, when they noticed they were distant enough and safe, they went back to help. I don't see anything undecided there. Everyone would have done exactly the same thing if it had happened today!

  • @jgg87 I was being ironic.

  • @Ciuuzz thats not what ironic means. That is a total miss use of the word ironic.. sory to be one of jerks correcting things but i just cant stand it when people completly misuse ironic.

  • @kurayami121 I've never asked if i missed or not the meaning of ironic. My comment doesn't reflect on you. So if you can't find the joke, you can just forget it.

  • Comment removed

  • This is not joke, there was once a girl named summer an md she no nose or ears and lots of scabs! She died. Post this on five other sites or else she will come one night and kill you!

  • I found this really hard to masturbate to.

  • @DarrrrenCullllen I found your comment really stupid.

  • @pabloindustries You need to get a sense of humor, dork.

  • @AnimalHouseVetVideos Joke/Stupid comment. There is a limit.

  • @DarrrrenCullllen it`s because your dick is the size of a...hang on, you don`t have one

  • Get a life klebics, that event was disturbing and sad.

  • Oh i'm going straight to hell for laughing at this... :(

  • @klebics Yes. Yes you are.

  • @klebics yeah that and you`re an asshole. WTF is funny about it ?

  • collegehumor?

  • OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!

  • it 1937 was already 240p?:p

  • It's practically standing still now they've dropped ropes out of the nose of the ship; and (uh) they've been taken ahold of down on the field by a number of men. It's starting to rain again; it's... the rain had (uh) slacked up a little bit. The back motors of the ship are just holding it (uh) just enough to keep it from...It's burst into flames! It's burst into flames and it's falling it's crashing! Watch it; watch it! Get out of the way; Get out of the way! Get this, Charlie; get this, Charli

  • What does he say at 1:05? I think I here Fucking Wrecking, not sure.

  • Meh. We fill our cars with a HIGHLY flammable liquid...

  • OH THE HUMANITY!

  • @MARIOSONIC320 this is serious, why would you mock a man who was obviously beyond distraught

  • OH THE HUGE MANATEE!

  • @maxkilla69 Never seen it that way, awesome comment!!!

  • @maxkilla69 immature dick

  • Comment removed

  • Hahaha look at the guy at 0:50 crawling in the fire!

  • @xILambyIx you get off on it cockhead ?

  • @ChooWish No it's just funny.

  • vast amounts of hydrogen, a smoking room and a thermite coated shell. a recipy for disaster :(

  • I understand there is a historical "authenticity" to this, but something just seems very fake about this.

  • This was such a sad event. I can't believe it actually happened beacause it stopped the history of Blimps. And now it reminds us that this could happen anyday, anytime ,anywhere, etc. And the cause was (this can be debated) static electricity iginiting a hydrogen gas leak. Very sad... :(

  • flaming dude running at @00:45

  • still get chills listening to him..

  • "Oh the humanity!"

  • OH THE HUGE MANATEE!!!

  • I didn't think people swore back then.

  • in the baloon??? lmao

  • @liam758601 Gaz... Instopable.

  • That anyone of the passengers and crew made it out of this firestorm alive is a miracle to me. God bless.

  • @ChristianPaul75 faggot

  • OH THE HUMANITY

  • if u read the book a week in the woods by andrew clements, it will talk about it

  • This would have been terrifying to witness. :/ Luckily, over half of the people on that thing survived.

  • @TheRedfire555

    yeah, somehow

  • Someone messed up r.i.p

  • 9 for Fucking wreckage... not being dispespectful

  • the hinderburg, was from the nazis?

  • @rhapsycho666 yes that also why there were swasticas on the tail fins

  • Oh my god!!

  • Is this the pitch-corrected version?

  • Oh the huge manatee...

  • presenter deserves an oscar... OH THE TERROR OH THE HUMANITY! lmao

  • this is what happens when you let women drive anything

  • Still terrifying to watch. It burnt so quickly!

  • I have a lot of respect for this newscaster. His reaction wasn't necessarily professional but it was appropriate, added sympathy to the news

  • i would not have known what was going oon if it wasnt or this guy talking

  • 1937: Genuine sympathy, grief.

    2011: Sterile, non-emotional cut away.

  • @wasp9 It's not a bad thing for the media to be emotionally distant. Seeing people keep their composure on TV can really help people not break down themselves. Those two reporters who were doing 9/11 live said "Every time it became too hard and I was about to cry, I passed the camera over, and then he'd do the same a few minutes later."

  • Am I the only one who thinks that James Cameron could do this just as masterfully as Titanic?

  • :50 you can see someone crawling out

  • massive fucking wreckage. did anyone else hear that at the end?

  • @666Superbeast666 I heard it too, pretty much sums up the agony of what they just witnessed.

  • 0:49

    OH THE HUMANITY

Anyway is it just me or is the guy speaking WAY too calmly?

  • @Trazen4 He sounds really distressed to me...

  • @Trazen4 then go take a bath in ACID scumbag, HANG'urself, BURN'urself ALIVE, GAS'urself, SHOOT'urself, STAB'urself, CUT'urself UP period!!!

  • @PinkxPpussy:

Uh...All I said was it seemed to me that he was speaking very calmly. As happycaddy said he does seem pretty distressed but this newscaster was calmer than I would be in that situation.(Which is a good thing.)

  • @Trazen4 o'course he supposed to be chilled out when doing his job from distant away nub

  • I think he said "smoking" wreckage but it did indeed sound like "f***ing" wreckage.

  • led zepplin

  • so the germans filled a blimp with hydrgen than it blew up. . . . what else can the germans do wrong?

  • @busch760 This wasn't a german fenomenon, alot of zepperlins like this where built during this era. Although, it's easy to say what went wrong when it's already happend.

  • Hey Everybody! Let's fill our blimps with flammable gasses! What could possibly go wrong?

  • @PsyentificViewpoint they didnt know it was flammable

  • @PsyentificViewpoint They were originally going to fill it with helium but the U.S wouldn't sell them helium so they used hydrogen as an emergency gas

  • @PsyentificViewpoint and make the skin out of a highly reactive highly flammable form of thermite.

  • @PsyentificViewpoint Safety first kiddies, even if it means you will never get a good substitute for helium.

  • @PsyentificViewpoint Sorry but you are wrong. It wasn't the flammable gas (hydrogen) that caused the hindenburg to explode, it was the aluminium powder that covered the extremely flammable cellulose which covered the fabric which was filled with hydrogen. These days aluminium powder is used as rocket fuel to propel space shuttles into orbit.

  • @samster779 Ah, so it was entirely the fault of the thermite and the flammable gas filling the blimp had no part at all to play in it?

Sorry, don't buy that. The real answer is probably somewhere in between.us.

  • @PsyentificViewpoint It was likely a combination of both. The flammable hydrogen gas most probably was the primary cause of the explosion itself and the thermite-like paint job is most likely what caused it to burn as quickly as it did.

  • @PsyentificViewpoint the reason I know the answer is because I got the information from Dr Karl Kruszelnicki Book 'Great Myth Conceptions.' And he says that it is said that it was the hydrogen that ignited to blow up the ship but that and it was actually the aluminium powder.

  • at the end he said something about fucking wreckage. Wtf.

  • I remember watching this video clip on the cd rom of Encarta Encylopedia in 1996 in my classroom. How time passes...

  • My teacher showed this in class today, I laughed so hard, he didnt like it.

  • @BENGTPAPPA

If I saw you laughing at a video of 36 human beings burning to death, I'd slap the sh*t out of you.

  • @Andrewh313

36 really thats it. that thing is massive that is very surprising i did not know that.

  • @Mr11colek

The balloon part is obviously not filled with people. There were about 100 people in the car attatched to the bottom and most of them got out in time.

But still.... NOT ok to laugh!!

  • @Andrewh313

The people are inside the balloon. I hope you don't think 100 people can fit in that tiny spot.

  • @eatwoodman

Ugh... No one is inside the balloon because they would suffocate in the hydrogen.

Passengers rode in the smaller structure underneath the balloon.

    Jeez....

  • YOU SUCK NAZIS!

  • @ItsSausage I don't believe the National Socialist Party had much influence at the time of the Hindenburg disaster.

  • @ZomBLord Well you better think again then. Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933, the Hindenburg disaster was in 1937. Why do you think the US wouldn't let them have helium gas? Watch the video of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games opening ceremony to see what influence the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei had the year before the Hindenburg disaster.

  • @clintonearlwalker Well... I stand corrected. Thank you.

  • I have no words to say it was very emotional and how can 62 people survive that thing!?

  • :'(

  • :(

  • It was a disaster!!!!

  • why is the guy crying like a bitch

  • @MrMecoboy001 It is a sad day for the humanity to hear such a remark... If you actually saw that disaster happen right in front of you and didn't feel like crying, then you are not human. And cry doesn't automatically means you're a bitch: only real men can cry, so I guess you're not one...

  • @kamkamkam25 So I'm not human, just because I think that these kinds of things are funny. I honestly cannot remember a day when I laughed more, then when I saw the planes crash into WTC, and when the towers themselves collapsed, that was just hilarious.

  • So is it true that Saint Dane, Spader, Bobby, Gunny, and Winn Farrow were responsible for this disaster? Was it true that Gunny held Bobby back from saving the people on the Hindenburg? Also, is it true that Max Rose had valuables on the Hindenburg? Also was it true that if the Hindinburg landed safely, the Nazi's would nuke the US? The world may never know. D.J. McHale is the only person who really knows what happened the day of this disaster.

  • This is how the whole Rick Perry campaign is going down... in flames.

  • Press 9 for "fucking wreckage"

  • Just to hear the Panic in his Voice is Terrifying. I'm never getting on a Zeppelin EVER.

  • herbert morris is awesome

  • 83 people died in the hindenburg disaster

  • @TheBloodyScotsman Nope. 36

  • @Djinnhydra No I mean the only people who would dislike this are people who died in the Hindenburg disaster. 83 people disliked this, they all died in the Hindenburg disaster.

  • @TheBloodyScotsman Oh. Well that's odd.

  • @Djinnhydra I guess, I mean, would you dislike this?

  • I kinda feel bad for Herbet Morrisson (the narrator). That was a true jornalist, reminds me Walter Cronkite crying when annouced JFK death. Today we see weirdo Glenn Back weeping because theres Mr Black Blackman in the Whitehouse... pathetic!

  • I like how he keeps talking not like OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! Talented dude.

  • Wow..

  • Some broad gets on there with a static-y sweater and BOOM! it's "oh the humanity!

  • who left the oven on?

  • Winn Farrow was here. Thumbs up if you get the Pendragon reference!

  • 83 people dislike this? How Dare You People Dslike This

  • @dkb201998 why would they like disaster?

  • @wgonderman I KNOW
