  • He's got a chest like a Basset Hound and legs built with thick strong bones! No wonder he was so fast! Trotters don't look like this anymore.

  • @LastTree I'm very lucky to have a classical stocky trotter out of Du Gazeau and he moves JUST like greyhound!! I was staring for ages gorgeous horse didn't know about him until this video. you are right, they don't too fine and flighty don't have that pounding heavy movement anymore

  • who gives a fuck about greyhounds or horses or YOU asshole

  • Breaking worldrecords throughout his long carreer. Incredible Greyhound!

  • the grey ghost is without any doubt 1 of the greatest horse's of all ti the time, not just of the trotter's...

  • where would we be today if he was'nt gelded?

  • has not a pacer hes a trotter..

  • @sweepyward OH, can you tell me what the difference is? I thought they were the same thing.

  • I thought the pacers were supposed to move both legs on the same side of their body forward & back simultaneously? Regardless, he is beautiful!

  • @drac2you they do indeed, Greyhound was a trotter.

  • @lakings13 Thank u. I was unaware there was a difference. :)

  • Who knows the name of the maker of the jazz-rock that starts at 0.10 in the clip up until approx. 1.00 in the footage?

    LIKE IT SO MUCH!PLEASE

  • who can help me out, finding this music

  • best horse!!!!!!!!

  • Such a shame he was gelded!

  • Correction: Dan Patch, NOT Dan Patches!

  • He time trialed in 1:59 3/4 at Goshen Historic Track, a half mile "slow" oval, almost 75 years ago. Think about it; quite amazing.

  • Best trotter of the history.

  • Yes you are right, he is!

  • Fantastic. Greyhound was a sensation in my country, New Zealand, too. Probably the best known harness racer there.

I love Dan Patch, Messenger, Niatross and Hambletonian too. Our NZ pacer Cardigan Bay did Ok also - first to win a million in the US.

In the galloping area, Zenyatta has caused a sensation only reserved for the likes of Greyhound. Are the old times coming back again?

  • Its a real shame that he was gelded. He would've added a lot to the trotting lines we have today.

  • good horse

    especially being grey

not many grey horses win nomal races let alone big g1 races

    WHAT A HORSE!!!
