The whole situation seems to be sending the message that TV isn’t for smart people anymore. I mean, we get Two and a Half Men and Mike and Molly shoved down our throats all day long yet all they do is laugh at gender stereotypes (Friends, anyone?) and one dimensional characters. Community is clever, original and genuinely funny and NBC is pissing around with it.

Bring back Community or I’ll just fucking boycott NBC!

I only discovered Community a couple of weeks ago and love it. I've caught up by watching episodes online. I just found out about this potential hiatus. This is a great show. Don't bench it. The fans are still growing!

@WhoTheHellisKeith Whitney hasn't even had a full season yet. Community has had THREE SEASONS to find an audience, and it still gets shit ratings. I love Community, but think of it in terms of profit. Whitney has more potential to find an audience. Community has already found its audience, and it's simply not enough. It's obvious why Whitney is outlasting Community from a financial perspective.

On a related note, supposedly NBC has had a 'change of heart' and decided not to put 'Community' on hiatus. Heard they were preferring 'Whitney' over this...heard 'Whitney' wasn't that great either.
