This was pure funk. Watching this again, i need to give sesame street even more stripes and stars. Jim Henson was one of the geniuses of the 20th century.
I thought this video was from Sesame Street. I think it was funny when the lady put the letter "r" in the hood of her car to make the car work. I think that the car sounded like the letter "R" after the lady put it in the hood of her car and it made the "r" sound all the way until the lady came home.
I wish I knew who did the music, I would like to buy the album and sound effects. It has always sounded like Eric Claptons kind of music from the early 70's. I would like to record the whole song on my classic rock CD compliation. It's probably a song from a late 60's or early 70's radio production record.
That's right - I associate this clip with Sesame Street more than TEC. Either way, though, nice funky music. Sort of reminds me of the 'WALK' clip ('Hammond groove').
I thought this video was from Sesame Street as well. I think it was funny when the lady put the letter "r" in front of the hood of her car. Maybe her name was Ruth.
This came out the same year as Pink Floyd"s "On the Dark Side of the Moon" album. The tune for this "R" clip, to me could have very well fit in that album!

If only fixing a vehicle were that easy, I'd keep an "R" in the backseat at all times. LOL

I don't remember this ever being on E-Company, only S-Street, but no matter. Either way, that lady was hot and savvy.

Same here! I remember this cartoon aired mainly on Sesame Street not The Electric Company.

She must've dated MacGyver or something. :)

Is the car a VW Beetle? If so, that would be a definite error. The (original) Beatle's engine was in the rear, not the front.

this was on sesame street as well.

Yep, I always keep an "r" in the glovebox, just in case (and a funk band in the trunk.)
