Oh my god! This is sick! I don't know what is worse, dressage horses hyperflexed or western horses hobbling along like they are half dead. You take the dignity and beauty out of this horse by riding him like that. We need change!!!!!!!!!
the lope on this horse is ridiculos, its not the horse's fault he's been taught to move that way. I wood use this lope to ride a little kid or a 80 yr old person
Weird lope on that horse. he's bobbing his head an aweful lot, the speed of his lope might be too slow for him? Thats my opinion, but I don't know the horse.
Very good, helpful clip! I nead some lead change instructional clips for my daughter. Got any of those? Oh, and the sound was fine, and that appears not to be western pleasure but reining/working cow horse.... you know, the horses that are taught something with a real purpose.
@NAYRiders12 His horse isn't lame, but it does look like he's being made to move slower than he naturally can go which is why he is bobbing his head. A few years ago, an annoying fad in western pleasure was the 4-beat lope which was an extremely slow lope where the rear end of the horse was basically trotting. I don't know if this horse could have possibly done that at one time and they are working on getting him back to the regular lope or if he is trained this way.
That lope is DISGUSTING!!!!! What ever happened to the natural movement and and beauty of a horse! that lope looks like he is lame.
