This is a comparison? I just watched 3 minutes of casual conversation, that told me almost nothing about the bikes (except that the Victory has ABS and both have heated grips), and a few road shots. This shouldn't be called "Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic vs. Victory Vision Motorcycle." I've learned nothing about the bikes, but I have learned that motousa's videos are a waste of time.

It may still look like an Indian . . . . . it ain't no Indian. Hasn't been since 1953, the year they went bust, when this all started . . . . the resurection attempts.

In fact, the parts made by the American V-twin companies have as much chance of fitting the Victory as they have of fitting Kawasaki or Yamaha motorcycles. harley to get around indias high tarriffs ships the bikes over to their assembly plant they built in india,they send american kits and have this plant put them together.
for instance the bikes are shipped from the usa with the front end tires off and when they arrive in india they bolt these on,they do it this way to get around indias extremely high tarriffs, if victory does start selling bikes in india,they may do it the same way as harley,or they may just send completely assembled bikes-

The Victory IS a metric bike. It says so in it's specs. The V-Rod is, too. Remember, the V-Rod's engine is made by Porsche. Anyway, as far as the time the Victory was launched, yes...it was the first new all American motorcycle. Why? No one else was introducing a new line at that moment. It's all in the marketing hype, folks.
Victory is expected to start selling CBUs (completely Built Units) in India starting next year. Victory has not yet announced which models will be sold in India, or if any new models will be built with the India market specifically in mind.
Right now, Victory sells it’s motorcycles in India between $12,499 (INR 5.68 lakh) and $27,994 (INR 12.73 lakh) and when they arrive in India, this price could be doubled owing to the high duties that CBUs attract. That makes the Victory Motorcycles a steep buy although a little cheaper than the top end Harleys.

The victory is awesome compared to a Honda or Yamaha. Other than that, I'm selling mine because it has too much plastic on it. But all the plastic engine parts and body parts are equal with Honda. choose Victory if you're gonna buy a foreign bike.

In fact, the parts made by the American V-twin companies have as much chance of fitting the Victory as they have of fitting Kawasaki or Yamaha motorcycles. harley to get around indias high tarriffs ships the bikes over to their assembly plant they built in india,they send american kits and have this plant put them together.
for instance the bikes are shipped from the usa with the front end tires off and when they arrive in india they bolt these on,they do it this way to get around indias extremely high tarriffs, if victory does start selling bikes in india,they may do it the same way as harley,or they may just send completely assembled bikes-

The Victory IS a metric bike. It says so in it's specs. The V-Rod is, too. Remember, the V-Rod's engine is made by Porsche. Anyway, as far as the time the Victory was launched, yes...it was the first new all American motorcycle. Why? No one else was introducing a new line at that moment. It's all in the marketing hype, folks.

At least you, the public, think that you do, and the boys in Milwaukee would really want you to believe that, but in reality, this year's 'new' model has the gas tank from three years ago, the forks from fifty years ago, wheels from five years ago, etc., etc., etc. The only thing on that bike you just bought that probably is brand new is the price tag and the rubber it rolls on.
