Man, i think its really cool that she loves and appreciates all of the great music that came before her. A lot artists don't really respect or appreciate the history of their genres. She is truly an amazing singer with a great voice. She also gets bonus points for seeking out the legendary Dj Premier for the album. She even knows who Group Home is(go figure).
