Thank you so much for this! The top of the bottom part of my MBP was coming off very slightly in the bottom left corner, I thought that some glue or something had come off, turns out I just needed to tighten the screw!
Um, I resently aquired a MP. From my Aunt Kelley. We were moving out of her old house and she let me have it. Problem is that her cats spilled somthing on it. Right now I just starting taking all of the screws out of it to take it apart. I alread looked on the Mac site to clean it with alchol and cotton swabs. If there a possible way I could get it work again?
I have a question...something is rolling around inside my computer...my computer is working fine but i want to know if it would be safe for me to take apart the computer to see what it is....or will my computer just stop working if its opened? i got my macbook pro in 2009...so it looks a little different.
Thanks for the video... even a few years old. I just used it to change out my hard drive on my 2008 mbp. Took me 45 minutes to do the total swap start to finish and taking my time so I didn't do anything stupid. Thanks for the video!
Only a Man would do this! Now, a woman would NEVER think ''oh, I know, I have a spare half hour, let's see what the innards of my expensive laptop look like! ''My son is the same tho, with bikes, takes em apart to clean every tiny component, so it probably is a man thing.
@cmcalero Well done-I simply would not have a clue-so would not even attempt it! -probably a ''sexist'' comment, didn't mean it to be, but most people who I know who love electronics are men- but there are plenty of men i know who would not have a clue as to do with the inside of a computer, too :)
@KushPizzaSleep I made considerable changes to my 2007 MacBook Pro over the time. I now got a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid HD, and I took the 6GB RAM out of my laptop because I noticed it didn't really make any performance difference on my computer. I downgraded to 4GB RAM again and upgraded to the mentioned HD above which has 4GB of SSD in it to make my computer perform 2x faster than before. And I have Santa Rose chipset. Hope this helps :-)
Thanks for helping me to figure out how to take apart my MacBook Pro in order to fix a Graphics Chip problem on the Logic Board (do it yourself Reflow)
yea, i seen some of them now... do you have snow leopard installed on your macbook ? if so, can you tell me what kind of frame rate you get when using quicktime X screen capture mode ? thanks. i want to make sure im getting low frame rates because of my slow hard drive. thanks.
I need help guys! My MBP power button is slightly sunk a little bit to the left. If anybody can post a video that show how to fix it or a site of instruction to how pls let meknow...
@MegaTechie. hey Megatachie!! I have the same computer. My keyboard and trackpad stopped responding a few months ago, if i replace the keyboard and trackpad will this fix the problem?
Ok, the long vent at the top-back part of your computer does have a metal grill protecting the computer from foreign objects. Near the end of my video, you can see that the fans are located on the left and right; they both blow hot air out of the computer.
If you want to be sure that there is no bug back there, shut down your computer and close it. Then, take a flashlight and inside the back of the computer where the vent is.
i just did this same thing, however when i removed my keyboard i totally forgot to realize where the yellow plug was taken out from. can u tell me where i am supposed to plug that in?
hello can anyone help me on repairs i do not want to take it to the apple store

Hey under the battery pack what are those things u pull out on mine i c like chips etc what r they and is it hard putting them back in
SimpleKiller12 3 years ago
Those are the memory chips (also known as RAM).
They are kind of tricky to get back in. You have to first slide them in at a 25 degree angle and then snap them it.
