We, the church, will be raptured before the Tribulation. Remember, Jesus said that we should pray that we escape these things. Hi Trickysr, the word actually does NOT say as long as you "believe" you will be saved. It actually says that IF you "REPENT + Believe", you will be saved (Acts 26:20, Acts 20:21). There is NO SALVATION without REPENTANCE from sin and believe in Jesus Christ. May we find LIFE in Jesus through forsaking our sins by the power of the Holy Spirit and trusting in the one and only Saviour JESUS CHRIST who is soon returning to rapture ONLY those who are truly His in repentance and faith.

@trickysr Also, in James ch 2 the underlying Greek word for believe is "pisteuō" not "pistis" which is for the word "faith". In the context there in ch 2 you learn that to just consent to the fact that God exists is not true "faith", it is to simply "believe", but to have true faith you place your full weight on Christ instead of mere lean on Him. You give it all away and you do so daily (it's an attitude of the heart). So repentance is a daily thing, not something that's done once.

For people who are debating works vs faith.. A person needs both. Faith is what gets you in, but works are the evidence of that faith. Many Christians are and have been killed already. Pray and study Romans. Saved by Grace. Many good Christians have a difficult time accepting this.
