I just got this helmet and wanted to say that if your head is more round shaped, go a size bigger. I measured a medium with the sizing chart but it was so tight it hurt when I closed the chin bar. So if you have a rounder head, go a size up~
I have a question about this helmet. Never wore a full face with visor yet and am looking to buy this, but was wondering if the visor keeps water out completely?
I hope you answer this if the helmet is not snell only dot approved does that mean it wont protect you? (im just getting into riding, trying to play it safe)
@0TheTechGuy0 SNELL, DOT, ECE and others are a constantly changing set of standards. DOT is what is required in the US, while SNELL is required on many race tracks. However, many manufacturers are moving away from SNELL and towards a "world standard" that incorporates US, Japan, Australia, and European safety standards. I rely more on the reputation of the company than the particular certification. In this case, Bell has an excellent reputation.
I got a vortex. Its very much worth the money. Comfortable, it breathes, and you can easily wear classes or shades under the visor. Most importantly, it works. I faceplanted on concrete at about 30 mph while wearing it, and while the mouthpiece did get busted out, It protected my head 100%. I definitely recommend this helmet. Oh yeah, it looks really fucking cool too.
@MrPwnag3 Holy crap! Glad to hear you are ok! Can you send us come pics of the wrecked lid? Happy to make you a deal on a replacement and maybe help with the sting!
@RevZillaTV Yeah I can send some pics, where should I send 'em? Also, I was actually about to buy a new helmet, If you could get me a deal on it, I'd really appreciate it.
@RevZillaTV Write a guest "blog post" sharing your story and send the pics to CS@revzilla.com. We will give you 15% off the crash replacement. Happy to do it.

@op3l There is a seal around the visor and will keep the rain out!

Can you comfortably wear glasses under this helmet?

I was hoping that it would have a nose guard attachable

Great review, far more information than the Bell web page. Much appreciated

Finally, a review that actually reviews a product in depth and with out the annoying loud head slamming music.
Thanks, you've covered all aspects of the helmet. I'm convinced.

@tarunxx Get the Vortex, if you do not need the flip-up modular mechanism. The Vortex is a killer >$200 Snell 2010 Sport / Trackday helmet.
