Are the cube4you ones any good? It's cheaper than Meffert's, and I'm a fan of their other cube/puzzles too.

just solve all of the other ones as if it was a regular 3x3x3 cube. It's pretty easy to do. and then you just have to either adjust old algorithms to fit the megaminx, or make up your own for the last layer. it may take you a little while but it is pretty cool when you are able to solve a puzzle without anybodies help. I made it all the way through on my own in just about 3-4 weeks; and I'm not super great at this stuff. plus I did it while I was still going to school/not on break.

are you color nuetral on the megaminx as well. i find it harder to be color nuetral on the minx. i'm only partial color nuetral with it.

Yup, I like MF8's better than QJ's. It's smoother. Also there was available in glow in the dark, lucky I managed to buy a couple since there's around.

For most people, the mf8 minx seems to pop but it takes a bit work to set it right such that it would pop at a loose tension only once every 5-6 solves. No big pops, anyway. David gets very good times with it and I personally average 2 mins exact, so I don't think its that bad as it is usually described to be.
