no guy doesn't work in 3D, cause you have only one single view - for a 3D video you need TWO views - one for each eye recorded using TWO cameras. By adding the yt3d tag to a 2D video YT will NOT convert your 2D video to 3D it does only the following: cut the video in two parts and use one part for the left and right view and displaya/mixes them to a '3D' view according to the 3D selection which cannot work for a 2D video cause there are NO corresponing points wich can be fused to a 3D view!
