Same for me.2 local clubs only play electro or sum remixes of tracks that are in the charts at that particular time.Clubs play it too safe.

All the hipsters in Calgary seem to think house/electro/break beats are the new "thing" so people demand it.

I wish there were more trance dj's ( locally that is )

I guess you have to think of it in a business perspective. They found a way of doing things that works REALLY well and the place is packed everytime it's open. You can't really blame them.

there are trance djs in calgary... but the problem is the demand so the club owners tend to stick to the type of music that makes them more money!!!

I myself had to switch to electro house in order to get gigs here and there... otherwise when you say trance, they wouldnt even call you!

Here in vancouver for some reason people don't like regular trance nights. We have a club with some very talented dj/producers thats a dedicated trance club. it's completely dead. everyone would rather go to the local electro/house/techno night. I have no idea how events can sell out yet nobody will support the local trance DJ.

which club u talking about? the club 23 organix? cuz they play strictly psy trance and i love that place, redroom saturdays are always electro and house but now there is a backrom in redroom playing trance with some very talented djs..im playin there september 13th, tryn come out!

club 23 does have a good turn out, but I was talking about cyber. Amazing lineup of DJ's yet nobody goes to support them. Everyone packs into lotus, club 23, redroom etc not that there's anything wrong with that it would just be cool to see some people hit up cyber. Will you be playing the back area at redroom? I love that place, haven't been in a long time. I'll try to make it out and if I do I'll say hi.
