Like most Origins games at the time, the voices were done by members of the staff. In that case, Lord British was done by Richard Garriot.

YES! U7 II was one of the best Ultima games. I didn't watch most of the Black Gate LP, I came in too late for that, but I'll definitely watch this one.

I notice that Lord British's voice is a tad higher-pitched than Kikoskia's version.

Wow, I remember playing this as a kid... the fact that they had both speech and an animated (well, somewhat) movie in the intro blew my mind back then.

Probably the best game in the series, for me.

Wow, mad props for attempting this one. I tried beating it over the summer and got sick of it when I got to the mage city. The game's too talky and political for me.

I can't wait to see what happens after the mage city!

I took a break at that point, too. Then came back and finished it a week later. Black Gate is by far more fun. But I still like Serpent Isle too.
