I agree with jsedg. Why was the video cut? I can understand your anger jsedg. And you are NOT a quad, you are a person who cannot use his limbs. Please don't call yourself a quad. It hurt me to read that. And it hurts me to read the titles of these videos, i.e. 'paraplegic transfers at the Gym' etc. For goodness sake! Why not say 'Jack transfers from bed to chair'. Why do doctors have to be so dehumanising?

I understand your concern with the title of the video. but i don't see it as something "dehumanising." Titles works as a way of catching a viewer/reader's attention. Those who are curious about the lives of the disabled are more receptive to the term "Paraplegic" than "Jack."

A video with the title of para or quad showing transfers and functionality are actually fantastic tools for new injuries. Unfortunately, this video cuts out the actual transfer.

i know this is an old comment, but you obviously dont have any friends or family members who are paraplegic. The name paraplegic doesnt bother them, its a reality, and the title helps with people who are actually trying to learn how to move a "paraplegic", not a "Jack".

I think people like you with your false concern and denial of reality angers paraplegics more than titles and names.

These are not derogative terms.
