Jack Black is amazing in this movie. If you get the DVD with the options, watch the producer's comments by Cusack where all three writers independently thought of Jack Black for the part of Barry. Also the Director mentioned that it was amazing that Jack Black could do scenes in one take, perfectly, and with little or no direction...spot on.
