I agree Caribkele - people argue about religion all over the world; but in the west Americans seem especially divided over it. For a nation which has enshrined the separation of church and state in its constitution, Americans seem to be obsessed with their own (and other people's) religious practices. Faith is a personal thing. If a person is not harming you with their worship practices then leave them alone and leave any "judgement" to God. I say this as a devout Christian.

because getting rid of your neighbors' false gods (fallen angels in disguise) is doing them a favor, because they may get to be in Heaven. so in fact, this act of ridding the world of false gods is an act of love. it isn't the christians who are condemning you to hell, it is God.

Sorry, I meant NON-European. The pentagram is a mesopotamian mystic symbol later popularized by post medieval european occultism. In my opinion, today there are more people who have no faith, no spirituality, and believe in nothing, than there are those who do. I can relate to the pagan religions, but find a lot of it silly. I no more believe in gods/goddesses than I do the god of the bible.

Wicca is a neopagan religion which Gardner CLAIMED pre-Christian roots, but this claim is never substantiated by any historical authority anywhere. and the traditions it possesses did not exist as a single set of religious tradition before the 1920s. Sorry, I meant NON-European. The pentagram is a mesopotamian mystic symbol later popularized by post medieval european occultism. The theory that there was somehow a grand pre-christian european witch-cult was discredited a long time ago by historians. Most of the practices of Wicca is derived from the writings of Aleister Crowley, of Thelema, and the Lesser Key of Solomon, which were, ironically, part of medieval CHRISTIAN gnosticism.

Now, of course there are elements of european paganism like greek mythology, druidism, and nordic religion incorporated into Wicca. But the ancients had very different ways of worshiping their deities. The Druids practiced human sacrifice, the Nordic Shamans sometimes cannabalism (extremely rarely though and only particular tribes). Most didn't involve drawing any circles (a very medieval grimoire-esque concept).

It's called compassion and not condemnation but I don't think Christians have forgotten their OWN religion or never knew it to begin with! You are to lead by example and cause others to inquire about the values which enable a life of said example.

yes each one makes their own choice. I was simply pointing out that some choices are stupid. I already have a life, but you should get a grip, you know, on rationality. Chaos doesn't need to be "claimed" by me or anyone my friend. The second Law of Thermodynamics states pretty clearly that the universe is constantly moving towards increased disorder. Entropy is very real, unlike imagined fantastical creatures and deities. There is nothing in the moon but moonrock.
