To the guy bemoaning lack of autos or 1911s: this was the 70s and autos were still looked down on as unreliable compared to revolvers. Most gunsmiths made a living off getting them to run without hiccuping.
if you dont like this part kiss my ass i get fucking crazy seeing this because i wanna do that if this were real hell i will go to a outlet mall and hide at dicks sporting goods and try going to the nearist food store
u really like messing with people huh mutha fucker, thats not even me in the videos so fucken stop writiing on my friends account stupid. oh wow u reported it as a bad video. big fucken deal. half of the shit here on youtube is worse stupid. r u like 5 or sumthing
@Kpob03 Those are good. I would love to have a M1 Garand for my primary rifle and a Beretta M9 as my backup with a .22 rimfire pistol for close encounters.
Not really like this... usually the guns are locked up, so that you can't just pull them off the shelves. And of course they aren't usually in the mall.
yes we do..... aside from zpthycat's comment. I can think of 3 or 4 just off the top of my head. He is correct about not being in mall's.... atleast in my area of pennsylvania. This particular gun shop was located in downtown pittsburgh and not in the mall. I live about 15-20 mins from the mall most of the filming took place in.
Hey,bigfoot425,,,you live close to monroeville? I'm the guy who used to work in that gun store, called Firearms Unlimited in east liberty. There was also a branch in downtown Pgh.,at Fifth and Liberty, called Gunners Den. For all you old-timers,the sign outside said "toy store for men". The east liberty store was not cowboy themed, the movie people did that. No mosin nagants yet,you had to wait for the fall of the soviet empire for that to happen. Colt SP-1's (AR-15) were available, very expensive.
hell yea. i really wish this kind of thing would happen. without natural predators fat and stupid people are running rampant devouring all my goddamn corn dogs and drinking all my dr pepper.
This is funny. Roger can have any gun in the store but he takes a .22 caliber Ruger Single Six revolver. This is probably the worst gun to pick for killing zombies! He also grabs a pair of black powder revolvers but they never appear in the movie after this scene.
Wow,havn't seen this in many a year. Ok,kids,I'm here to set the record straight. Saw the movie when it first came out,3 days before I started work in that gun store. It was called Firearms Unlimited, located on Penn Circle West,East Liberty, east end of Pittsburgh,Pa. Also known as the Gunners Den,same name as the branch store in downtown Pittsburgh,at Fifth and Liberty. We were not cowboy themed,we sold everything in the sporting goods field. Maybe even make a buck,as Norman, the owner, said.
I whis theres has an real zombie apocalypse.... just think......... GO to a and store have all the guns you want...... go to a ferrari dear and that a ferrari for a test drive... go a abandon military base and drive a tank.... kill many zombies....
I wouldn't want to be in any ferrari during a zombie outbreak. gimme a nice big pickup truck... actually I work for an armored trucking company so i think i have my vehicle picked out already lol
This movie came out in 1978 Glocks were not even produced until 1986. As for AR's you should be able to tell the theme of this shop is cowboy action shooting.
HOLYSHIT I NEVER EVEN NEW IT WAS A MOVIE OR WHEN IT TOOK PLACE MY FRIGGIN' BAD!!!!!!DON"T BE SO QUICK TO START CALLING PEOPLE NAMES YOU GUYS CAN AT LEAST ACT LIKE MEN! AND BE ABLE TO JUST TELL MY ERROR's FLAT OUT WITHOUT THE NAME CALLING. SO I WAS WRONG HAVE YOU EVER BEEN WRONG??
Again it was a cowboy action themed gun shop. Cowboys did not use M14s idiot. Just look at the scene. There are no firearms that are not from the cowboy era.
You are the biggest idiot on youtube. I am not even going to waste my time on correcting you. You have no clue about what you're talking about, so don't post your uninformed opinions as fact.
Nothing I said was opinionated or wrong. The gun shop in the movie sold cowboy shoot weapons and nothing but. Fact is that is why in the gun shop scene there was not a single firearm that did not fit into that era of time. You are the biggest idiot.
it's not a cowboy themed gun shop. This is a gun shop from 1978, before there were M16s and M14s sold for civilian use, and the only semi-auto common handgun available was the 1911. It's not a "cowboy" gun shop, just a 1978 gun shop. I spotted several post-cowboy guns like a Mosin Nagant, several Colt .357s, and a Sturm Ruger
Wrong 90% of what is seen in this shop scene was cowboy style weapons and accessories down to the holsters. Most were derringers or single action revolvers and most rifles seen were lever action. Yes there were other firearms seen but most were of the cowboy era.
And the Colt SP1 which was the first semi auto M16 variant available to the civilian public commonly was manufactured in 1965 smart one. The M14's in semi auto were also available in 1978 I have seen models that were manufactured in the late 60's as well.
1934 was when the National Firearms Act was put in place. From 1934 until now the only place a full auto that is legally sold is a class 3 dealer and after May 19, 1986 they cannot be manufactured for civilian use.
They Should have grabbed the AR-15 & Pump Action Shotgun as well. And why does Flyboy take shotgun shells when they don't have one?
