i wouldnt know what to do. i will be going to ghana soon. i was told that, in africa, when offered food, NEVER refuse. to do so would be a great insult. but i dont want to get sick/die/suffer from infestations and stuff. how can i politely decline? is it at all possible. even now, when i go to the house of haitians (in america) and i decline food they are soooo offended. my husband always tells me what they say later. but if i already ate/am not hungry/or it defies my restrictions, what do i do

(LOL) i started carring a large bottle of water with me so it was less likely they would offer me a drink, but with food, that would be hard to do..... ummm, do the whole pass-the-broccoli-to-the-dog-when-moms-not-looking trick!!! no really tho, my advice would be to eat a lil bit and keep nibbling on it so u still have some for awhile so u would be less likely to get seconds..... thats the best advice i can give
