I agree, except at SG (I mean, I agree eventually. Blatche will begin the year as the starter, and they're going to be hard pressed to let Lewis sit on the bench, given how much they're paying him.) Whether it's Young or Crawford depends on which improves more, and by how much - Young's defense or Crawford's FG%. As it stood at the end of the season, I think you have to prefer Young over Crawford.
Also, they're likely to be in the lottery next year, which might shake that up.

Crawford showed everything you could want, except: 38% FG, 26% 3PT. If those don't improve, he's not only not an all-star, he's riding the bench - or out of the league. He's also a couple of inches undersized to guard the 2 (though his intensity, quickness, and quick hops, seem to compensate), and, while he definitely improved over the season, he didn't show great PG skills. But he isn't a real liability on those counts - just less than ideal.
But he was just a rookie, and I bet he will seriously improve his accuracy, and his PG skills. If he could hit the 3 more consistently, all his offensive numbers would go way up, since he's hard to guard on the perimeter. So yeah, I can see him developing into a very good player - who knows, maybe an all-star.
Young has such a nice offensive game that his defense drives me crazy. If Young could play better D, they'd have a great 3 guard rotation, with Crawford spelling either starter.

Wall, Young, Crawford - McGee, Blatche, and a SF in the draft - plus Booker, Jeffers, Yi and Seraphin if they develop (doubtful for Yi). That's a lot of under 26 talent (most much younger). Besides Wall, there's no obvious all-star talent (you never know, the potential is there for several, and they seem to keep getting better), but it looks like the foundation of a really solid team. And they're not salary-strapped. If they grow together, play some D, and get an all-star, the future is bright.
Young is really good scorer. If the offense next year is geared for him, and his consistency improves, he could be one of the league leaders. If he also becomes a solid defender, he becomes an all-star. Whether Young is better than Wall is apples and oranges; it's nice to have both on the floor together.
If Young, McGee, and Blatche had straightened up a few weakness, and had been healthy, and played near their best on a consistent! basis, I think the team would've made the playoffs
Fanboy? You bet - especially after they drafted 2 eventual starters and a solid backup. When McGee, Singleton, Vesely, Young, and Wall are playing, you'll see one of the sickest atheletic teams ever in the NBA. The slowest guy down the floor (no slouch) will be their SG (even when Booker comes off the bench). And they can all (incld. Booker) jump out of the building - max verticals at/above 37", save McGee (though his 12'3" max reach was equalled only once since drafted in 2008)

Love it!! I'm a diehard wiz fan, I didn't know how lucky we were after that trade with Atlanta. Crawford is my now my favorite player. He is fearless, makes big plays and I love his herky jerky style, straight street baller! Just needs to cut down on turnovers and increase his shooting percentage and he will be a stud IMO. If he could hit the 3 more consistently, all his offensive numbers would go way up, since he's hard to guard on the perimeter. So yeah, I can see him developing into a very good player - who knows, maybe an all-star.
Young has such a nice offensive game that his defense drives me crazy. If Young could play better D, they'd have a great 3 guard rotation, with Crawford spelling either starter.

Glad to see another guy from the city doing his thing on the NBA level. Nowadays, players from Detroit don't seem to get the respect they deserve when it comes to basketball anymore. definitely better then wall.. he can shoot better that ovious, has more gears then wall, and more creative off his dribble then wall right now.... with wall u guard speed to the rim cause he has no real threat of a jump shit.. But with crawford, he suck u in cause u got to respect his jumper and he too creative and shifty with his handle for u to have a chance.. crawford is better passer, scorer, and defender. Wall just more atheletic and has more god giving ability, speed and maybe bunnies too

Wall, Young, Crawford - McGee, Blatche, and a SF in the draft - plus Booker, Jeffers, Yi and Seraphin if they develop (doubtful for Yi). That's a lot of under 26 talent (most much younger). Besides Wall, there's no obvious all-star talent (you never know, the potential is there for several, and they seem to keep getting better), but it looks like the foundation of a really solid team. And they're not salary-strapped. If they grow together, play some D, and get an all-star, the future is bright.

Young is really good scorer. If the offense next year is geared for him, and his consistency improves, he could be one of the league leaders. If he also becomes a solid defender, he becomes an all-star. Whether Young is better than Wall is apples and oranges; it's nice to have both on the floor together.
If Young, McGee, and Blatche had straightened up a few weakness, and had been healthy, and played near their best on a consistent! basis, I think the team would've made the playoffs

Fanboy? You bet - especially after they drafted 2 eventual starters and a solid backup. When McGee, Singleton, Vesely, Young, and Wall are playing, you'll see one of the sickest atheletic teams ever in the NBA. The slowest guy down the floor (no slouch) will be their SG (even when Booker comes off the bench). And they can all (incld. Booker) jump out of the building - max verticals at/above 37", save McGee (though his 12'3" max reach was equalled only once since drafted in 2008)

If those don't improve - a lot - he won't be an all-star. He won't be a starter. He's won't even be in the NBA. But I think those numbers will improve. He's so quick that if he gets his 3PT% way up, he'll be pretty much unguardable. Will he get there? Will he eventually be an all-star? I doubt it, but who knows? Let's see him improve to the point where he's a clear starter over Nick Young first before talking about him being an all-star

In AI's 13 years, his FG% was under 40 only twice, and was never as low as Crawford's was this year. He shot 42% the one year he went to the finals.
Nick Young's (FG%,3PT%) by year: rookie(44,40), (44,34), (42,40), last season(44,39). How does Crawford's (38,26) compare to Young's scoring?
A starting nba 2 guard shooting 38% is not acceptable.

Don't get me wrong - I know he's a rookie. His game has everything you could want, except for a couple inches and that FG%. And I think he will get better - he'll work on his shot, and his decisions will improve, I have no doubt. I bet he'll be a solid player eventually - possibly better than Young. I think he was an absolute steal. My small complaint is that people are talking about him being better than Young, even an all-star, based on a highlight vid. He hasn't shown that yet.

Love it!! I'm a diehard wiz fan, I didn't know how lucky we were after that trade with Atlanta. Crawford is my now my favorite player. He is fearless, makes big plays and I love his herky jerky style, straight street baller! Just needs to cut down on turnovers and increase his shooting percentage and he will be a stud IMO. I hope he's our starting 2 guard next year!!

Like I said he takes the risks offensively that great players take and that make a great player. I always wanted him to either start or be backup pg, OR trade Jamal and keep Jordan for less money, DON'T TRADE HIM THOUGH for 1 player. Things will work out, but this kid would've been amazing to have and made us better. BE THANKFUL WIZARDS FANS!!...that numskulls run the Hawks team.
