I see both sides to immigration reform. Yes we do need to secure our boarders, but at the same time, whose going to clean our houses and pick our lettuce if we do that? Also, the majority of these people come to the United States for a better life. I think the USA needs to regulate Mexico's government as they are the main source of the problem. @ugotcatfish actually, in Salinas CA (which is not a big city/lettuce captial) all of the people that work those jobs are of Latino origin.....so that definitely is far from the spectrum of bull shit. Also, when I took a recent road trip from CA to Minnesota, all of the housekeepers in the hotels I stayed at were of latino origin (and the towns I stayed in weren't so big). Japan was able to grow economically so fast after WWII because the government intervened, creating solidarity between manufacturers, distributers, and so on. In Mexico, as it has been pointed out, is filled with legislators blinded by self-interest and greed, so they would never implement policies like that.

In fact, Obama's administration, compared to his predecessors, has deported way more undocumented individuals back to their native countries. They are given so-called social services & it is against the law to question them about their immigration status. She was singled out because she has an accent & is Black. They had her info in their database but shook us down for $600.

To seek out and deport 11 million people from their private residence is ludicrous, if not impossible. Border authorities have the "discretion" to stop and question whoever they please, btw.

I see both sides to immigration reform. Yes we do need to secure our boarders, but at the same time, whose going to clean our houses and pick our lettuce if we do that? Also, the majority of these people come to the United States for a better life. I think the USA needs to regulate Mexico's government as they are the main source of the problem. It definitely is a tough issue and we do need to do something where both Mexico and the US could benefit. It's a very fishy topic.

@ugotcatfish actually, in Salinas CA (which is not a big city/lettuce captial) all of the people that work those jobs are of Latino origin.....so that definitely is far from the spectrum of bull shit. Also, when I took a recent road trip from CA to Minnesota, all of the housekeepers in the hotels I stayed at were of latino origin (and the towns I stayed in weren't so big). Perhaps you need a wake up call of some sort,& even though you did that same job, I guarantee you at least got minimum wage

I don't personally know how hard you worked, but if you did (which I assume) all of those people I saw working in the fields in Salinas CA were working from 4am in the morning to 6am the following morning non stop with no breaks or lunch breaks. In fact, Obama's administration, compared to his predecessors, has deported way more undocumented individuals back to their native countries. They are given so-called social services & it is against the law to question them about their immigration status. You say that it's too expensive to deport them, however, my wife was threatened with deportation just because she couldn't find her passport at the Mexican border. She was singled out because she has an accent & is Black. They had her info in their database but shook us down for $600.

To seek out and deport 11 million people from their private residence is ludicrous, if not impossible. Border authorities have the "discretion" to stop and question whoever they please, btw.
