I think the only hard part is having to install a special rack for the camera if you need it. Or taking it back to the shop after trying to manually adjust it.

it doesn't take a genius to figure out how to set it up if you can set up your xbox or ps3 then you should have no problem setting up kinect that simple people

The whole video was talking about what's inside and how the technology works with Kinect. I don't know where you got the whole idea of "Microsoft team takes a look how how much a pain in the ass it is to set up the Kinect," when they don't really talk about setting up except for a few seconds...
