  • ...did anyone else find themselves crying at the end?

  • The music is just beautiful..

  • Galaxy Class cold start.

  • I love to know how you made this. Can you give me some pointers? Love to make the Nebula Class ship like you did.

  • 1701-0?

  • I love your use of the First Contact theme. One of the best Star Trek film scores. I think only TMP and WoK beat it's score.

  • You must have put a lot of hard work into that video. Such hard work deserves credit, as that was totally amazing. Thank you.

  • Why are the saucer impulse drives active?

  • One thing I really liked about this video was you actually used the existing music as a SCORE to this video, and your matching of shots and angles to the music played with evoking this really nice sense of emotional investment in the ship, so despite a different ship and different pieces of music, you had that same sense of intensity that the TMP scene that intrioduced the refit Enterprise had. Kudos!

  • @KamenFighter Thats my idea :) thanks

  • Great job, dude. You've done justice to this beautiful ship

  • Great visuals, but the Refit Constitution was my favorite .

  • Wow! Goosebumps! Awesome...totally speechless.

  • ...umhpff

  • makes me want to watch ST:TNG again

  • very nice work!!

  • seriously, they've used the new star trek time line to give Kirk's Enterprise crew an origin story so now why not do the same for Next Gen!?!?!? then again it'll probably end up has an enterprise with fat ugly wings and alternate events >.>

  • Well Done! This should have been in the series :D

  • Hey, I wanna explore the Enterprise-D SOOOO BAAAADDD!... virtually that is.

This ship looked so much better and was much more beautiful than the Enterprise-E from the post Generations TNG movies

  • @atomikus37 That kind of thing's been mentioned before. Explained away by mentioning that it would take insane amounts of power and all that.

  • Amazing. Music + Your great work = Great Fan Video ;)

  • Is it necessary to add a film grain into this video? :) ....Otherwise it is really good rendering.

  • Super !!!! ;) =A=

  • Someone give this man the Federation Medal of Honor. *salutes*

  • That was freaking amazing!! My only criticism is the scale of the shuttle to the enterprise. I just feel it needs to be much smaller next to the massive Enterprise D, you know?

  • @atomikus37 The shipyard building unions would be up in arms about that.

  • OK what if the D launched like the original Motion Picture. Very nice!

  • someone give this man a gold star!

  • 3 borg drones disliked this video.

  • Great story great visual, loved the music selection... but i would inverse the last two shoots to finish with the warp departure... anyway,,, i,m getting hooked on your talent !

  • they need to digitaly remaster the Next Generation like they did TOS that would be freakin sweet..

  • this is how it should have been for that episode farpoint station

  • Zoweee !

  • @atomikus37 So, you really want to serve and live on board a vessel with resequenced molecules/atoms? No thanks. I'll take a hand built starship.

  • Wow...just...wow.

How long did that take to render?

  • nice, I like the first contact track

  • i miss Tasha :'(

  • Oh very good choice of tune... and slick vid to boot! Had a laugh to myself, all you needed in the drydock scene were those two dudes in spacesuits who were on that raised platform everytime the NX01 left. One always was watching and the other would stand and turn to look like "Oh crap, I'm missing it!" HAhaha, funny. HA! And put like huge beards on their spacesuits! Oh man, now I just can't stop laughing! Excellent vid dude!

  • Enterprise D was my enterprise, the one I grew up watching, Still my favorite.

  • Damn that is the most detailed CGI programming I have ever seen besides the real Star Trek films...

    Thousend Thumbs UP ;)

  • can u do an videos on how to make videos like this

  • @atomikus37 lol, easier in the long run.

  • WOW. This video deserves to be watched in HD...

  • @Aerizon thank you, cant do it in HD:(, glad you didn't say 3D lol

  • @Aerizon Really! This is one of the few videos I have transferred to my tablet. It is truly a work of art. The animation is awesome, the attention to detail is terrific, but mostly how the music matches the scenes almost flawlessly. The Enterprise D was the flagship of the federation, and the music suggests regal. To be able to see it in HD would be a gift, though as it is, it's appreciated.

  • Yo Dude The Enterprise-D was built ant Utopia Planisha Shipyards around mars not in orbit of earth. Otherwise it's great!

  • @luigi90900 I know, but the way you say it, I guess in "All good Things" they got it wrong too.

  • @Zcontinuum : It may have been built at Mars but that doesn't mean that's where Picard and crew left for their mission from. ;)

  • @Zcontinuum

I would venture to say that while the "D" may have been built at Utopia Plantia, whose to say at some point during space trials she wasn't moved to McKinley above Earth. She also would have multiple departures from a drydock during her life, so whose to say this doesen't depict that. Maybe it depicts her leaving drydock after her refit/repair post Wolf-359.

  • @Zcontinuum that is because of the fact that the Enterprise had already gone through it's shakedown and was ready for it's initial launch to begin it's mission. If you notice all ships regardless of where they are built are launched from Earth.

  • @luigi90900 It was built on Mars but I'd say it was assembled in space

  • @luigi90900 - It's kinda like how the Titanic was built in Belfast, but launched from Liverpool - the components of the Enterprise D were built on Mars & assembled in Martian orbit, but the final fitting-out & commissioning was done at McKinley station in Earth orbit...

  • Shuttlepod 5 - is there a Picard double on it???

  • Very good! I like the Video!

  • why did 3 people miss the like button?!?

  • The part starting at 3:02 seriously looked almost exactly like in the show! Great job!

  • It's strange that a starship and a nice tune can evoke such an emotional response. Good show.

  • Wow mate i can see a lotta work was done here.....congrats this is going in my favs :)

  • Very impressive indeed. Only there could be that bubblegum effect at the end. Do you know how they did it with the original model? Lights, exposure times, two days of filming... etc. ;) Here you could use some morph modificator if that program of yours has it.

  • more then awesome i got a goose flesh. Thank You :)

  • FANtastic work! The Enterprize D is my favorite space ship of all time. She's also the most beautiful. Just look at her.... she is magnificent! My second favorite would have to be the original Battlestar Galactica and my third, the original Cylon Raider... Maybe someone will do a similar vid as you have with this, with them. Nice to see someone with X-Styeam and Adobe, putting them to great use!

  • 1:21 Funny face :P

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good Video! There is a bunch of Trash out there! This Video is good!

  • whoever you are,you must simply be given a job in the star trek studio.i am presently doing a computer course at college and i could not even begin to better this.good luck to you!

  • lol i started to cry when i saw her nacelles light up:P

  • Great video

  • IN FACT SO GOOD AGAIN THAT I RECOMMEND YOU DO THE SAME FOR ENTERPRISE-B EXCELCIOR CLASS AND PLEASE NOTIFY ME AT FLEAGLE84@AOL.COM IF YOU DO! FLEAGLE84

  • Yo bro I sure hope that u pimped out the Ship B4 leaving drydock because the borg might come back.

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!

YOU SHOULD WORK FOR INDUSTRIAL LIGHT AND MAGIC!!!

Can I use this vid for my Star Trek series? I Would much appreciate it!

    I will credit u!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS VIDEO IS SO GOOD THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE PILOT EPISODE

LIKE ALL ENTERPRISE STARSHIPS THEY ALL DO A MANDATORY ORBIT AROUND EARTH TO CHECK SYSTEMS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY A TRADITION AS YOU WILL VERY WELL SEE ON PROPER CLIPS....EXTREMELY WELL DONE.

  • tut tut. thrusters only while in space dock! lol

    excellent animation

  • Epic.

  • Next stop Farpoint Station...Great video BTW.

  • @sbcmarine81 Thank you :D

  • @Zcontinuum

You've earned it---the video is just about as good if not better or best then what the pro's did. You got alot to be proud of from this video----it's excellent ;).

  • Great Stuff man. A lotta work. Big Thumbs up.

  • @jayce79 Thank you dude :D

  • Here's to you lass....

    Long live Ent-D!

  • wow

  • There were actually 2 different models used on the original series the 6 foot and the 4 foot. They were both close but the 6foot had much more detail and the 4 foot has subtle changes that separated it from the a,b,c previous ships. This model is closer to the 4foot than the original 6foot beauty miniature. The 6foot sold for around a 1/2 million dollars at auction. ; )

  • Love the way peeps say I love this but...

    Not me, way cool man!

  • @htownjesse thank you

  • 5 Points *****

  • IMO that ship went before her time

  • This video is just great! Very well done. Remembered the sequence of Kirk arriving on the Enterprise on the first movie.

  • how did you animate the startup sequence? frame by frame?

  • @Bluetorchproductions No, on the starup sequence I just turned up the illumination on the animating program.

  • this was so well done! Was your premise that someone (the captian) left the other ship and came back to Enterprise? It was so well done and respectfull. THanks and I hope you do more.

  • very cool, too bad about the clipping, otherwise it would be really awesome.

  • WowMAN!!!!Real cool and a+ peace of work..Love seeing her and the back ground them playing.

  • Yeah - great work!! Would only second the comment about the arboritum windows not being impulse engines - excellent though! :)

  • @trekspanner at the time, I thought it was a fusion reactor vents

  • i wish there would be one more movie in cinemas with that beauty Enterprise. The best designed starship ever. LOVE IT and w´ll never forget the Next Generation Series with Picard and Dater.

  • hi it's very nice your work!!! :P

Where did you find all measures for this ship!? I ask you beacause i want to make this ship for an exam. ty bye

  • great vid!

  • Just great job ! Impressive !

  • Very good modell!! Very good Sound Effects!! If I could give this Video 10 Stars then I would do it!!

Please make more of those videos!! I make things like this too (but not so good) so I like to see Animations of other poeple!!

  • @d1firebird respect :). check out the main page for the other animations friend, and thank you :)

  • i love when people do things like this star trek deserves to be well loved cool video

  • Thank you :)

  • I envy you. Wish I could make something as cool as this :)

  • @DWOMT You can do it, All you need to do is have a 3D program, Vue6 or 3DStudio Max, make or download models and practice my friend :)

  • I think the Enterprises texture looks a bit un-detailed... And... it would be great to have that force-field-flickering when the shuttle enters the shuttlebay... But Great Work! I really like it! Nice and smooth moovements... and a great choice of music! ;)

  • @Speedfreakcologne Yeah... that would be great, wouldn't it? Show me your animations, and then we can continue this conversation...

  • I wish we had the ship build in real life like this it would be sweet.

  • @iryan74656 yeah it would, and if they ask, " why do you want to join us on this ship?" the responce is clearly " Because the ship is AWSOME" lol

  • @iryan74656 Yup the ship is look like a Hotel lol all the room are big.

  • @iryan74656 lol, if this was a hotel I will book in advance :)

  • My favorite ship from my favorite Star Trek series. Well done!

  • @youtubasoarus Thnaks :)

  • Nice animation, but I must point out that the arboretum lights (the blue windows below the Main Shuttlebay) should not have "powered up" with the impluse and warp engines as well as the deflector as it is simply a room inside the rest of the ship.

  • Nice

  • Thanx :)

  • This CGI model looks so professional (3D model and texture). I like the gallaxy class very much.

  • Glad you like it very much, and thank you for your comment :)

  • 1701-D FTW.

  • can anyone tell me what those blue lights are that come in the saucer section i always wondered what that was.

  • That is the arboretum. It is a type of botanical garden.

  • It is? I thought it was a Fusion reactor vent.

  • I got the answer from the TNG tech manual.

  • Noted for future animation :)

  • @stevensjobs Shield Generator

  • I read it was the arboretum like White star said.

  • I think the "E" is a little flat. long & flat. :D

  • @Zcontinuum agreed ,,,,i totally dislike it.

  • your work is class, sheer class, well done, love it

  • wow, thank you for your comment :D

  • ah... the theme from First Contact. Best damn use of the Trek music in forever. So much emotion.

  • Glad you like the music score, I thought it was fitting for the movie :)

  • what were the track names and listings? like which soundtrack and which track?

  • A nice and interesting conversation here :), The only thing to make the Enterprise D kick some butt is to get a better warp core because it is truly usless in a battle, as seen in "Yestoday's Enterprise" and "Generations" and in lol "Romulan incident part II" .

  • the e is the more powerful ship but the d has more sentimental value ;)

  • @InitialAB

The phaser array of the Galaxy class is way more powerfull than that of the Sovereign class, it's huge. The Galaxy has 3 times the volume of the Sovereign.

  • The Enterprise D is my favorite Star Trek ship

  • Makes 2 of us, and eveyone else too :D not a fan of the E

  • You can't deny The Enterprise D is an amazing Star Ship the best in the Federation The Enterprise E is good but The Enterprise D is Better

  • @Terryfan you know what I agree...I like the last episodes alternate timeline version of it though...soo powerful!...so ya...serously...they should have got Picard to have an enterprise E with just a refit of D with a saucer qauntum torpedo launcher and all and it would have been great!...i already thought that when the first time I saw first contact that it was just a complete upgrade of the D but really a whole different ship really :(

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd really all they did was copy of the constitution class with the E and doctor it up a bit to where the hule and saucer are all connected and flatter wings and the newer D Red Nacelles....just like Star Trek Online's new ships

  • @StaurtTheGamerNerd, It just since I was a kid the Enterprise D I thought was just unstoppable the baddest star ship ever Maybe they should have did that however I like the Enterprise D from the futre with an extra Engine and More weapons close to the bridge made it like bad to the bone.

The Enterprise E is a amazing ship as well but still The Enterprise D means more to me then The Enterprise E

  • @Zcontinuum the e is ugly to me.

  • 2 phumbs up...... way up lol

  • Yep! That was MUCH better than 1.0

  • Thank you :) it is better, I had to do it :D

  • needed alot of garbled chatter in the background but other than that great job

  • Thanks you very much. You did a great job! A very beautiful CGI- scene.

  • too cool!! Fantastic job!!

  • AWSOME the only i have to say is when the shuttle bay doors close they have to go just a little slower and the tractor beam has to help guide them in. but im with u, the stretchy thing just isnt rite for ur vids

  • OMG beautiful! To bad the Enterprise D was destroyed......

P.S. You should make mods for Star Trek Bridge Commander, a lot of people would like your stuff...at least I would

  • Thank you :)

  • I love this man, its beautiful. I love the music too, i believe it was used in the credits of First Contact.

Only thing i would correct in this, is the warp. The enterprise has this stretched out effect when it jumps to into warp, this can be accomplished quite easily by pushing the objects Axis to the very back and then scaling its x or y handle.

  • Yup, just mixed it around and a few blends, came out ok. Thanks for your comment :)

  • about the stretchy thingy, not a fan, but I'll think about it

  • You wanna know something? I'm a real critic when it comes to fan made Star Trek stuff, always finding errors. But this is utterly fantastic. Absolutly amazing, in fact. The animation is really well rendered and the ship's movements are pretty well choreographed.

One thing though, Ent-D was launched from UPFY, Mars.

    Great vid, keep it up.

  • Cool, good to have a critic, keeps me on my toes :D

Thank you for a great comment means a great deal, (like you to stick around). I know the ship was launched from there, but I had to resort to plan B lol, I like the Earth texture, and have not got any other drydock models than this one. :D

  • Ah, I see (must have called in at number 2 on the wa to Farpoint Station..? He he)...

I was planning on sticking around, you look like the type to keep an eye on; I imagine that you probabl working on something now in fact...

  • lol, Actually, the idea was a kind of refit after 7th season (I guess i got away with that, phew!) lol

Yeah, I've started on a new movie, just making new maps for galaxy classes, Excelsior classes, with names 'n' stuff, have a while to go though :(

  • @Zcontinuum Awesome job with this man...perhaps they'll come up with something like this if they ever decide to make a prequel for Picard's generation of Star Trek like they did for Kirk's :D too bad thats prolly like a good 6 yeara after Star Trek 2009 sequals anyways ~_~

  • wow thanks friend :) It would be cool if they did do that. ooohhhhh yeahh

  • AWESOME!

  • Thanks :)

  • This is AWESOME! Great video, one of the best scenes of the D I've ever seen, movie, show or otherwise.

  • Wow that means alot, thank you for the positive comment friend :D

  • ok that reminded me of watching tmp. nice work. that scene is iconic with any incarnation of the big E

would love to see a tmp style drydock scene of the new 2009 enterprise worked the way u did this. cudos!!!!

  • Absolutely gorgeous, I never get tired of this! Beautiful piece of work.

  • :D Why many thanks Whitestar :D

  • If only she'd survived to fight in the Dominion War; the Enterprise-D is the Chuck Norris of Starships!

  • I agree. The Dominion War would be over in 2 episodes if the Enterprise-D suvived LOL.

Riker will be a very bad Captain, he ruined Pickard's ship.

  • Not sure if it would've been over in 2 episodes, but I bet the Federation would've had an easier time!

Hey, don't forget to blame Deanna for crashing the ship!

  • Or Worf/Geordi for changing the shield frequencies.

  • At least that. but no, lets have Riker running around the bridge like a headless chicken, having a cup of tea and ask Data how his day went!! LMAO

  • it wasn't Riker that did it. it was Troi. she can't drive, lol.

  • i love the fact that
