Not a challenge, just a fact. Everyone estimates the little Honda. It's incredible in our Quebec Winters. All kinds of other SUVs getting stuck all over, CRV goes pretty much anywhere snow related.
Wasn't trying to challenge or anything. We're just known for doing similar stuff too, taking old cars through mud pits, snow, powerline roads and stuff. The consistancy of snow this weekend though stopped a truck with 44" tall tires. I was constantly having to use my snowplow truck to get other people unstuck this day.
With snow, unlike mud/rocks, it's not the size of the tire, but the quality of the tread. My friend's 13" rimed Echo goes through deeper stuff than my other buddies stock F250. Quality of the driver too, gotta keep some momentum in the snow!!
Yep. My stepside was on 37" tall tires and did best overall, better than the rig with 44's and the Suburban on 38" tall tires. But I also had lockers front and rear. The hardest part was breaking through the untouched snow that was over a couple feet deep. After that it was easy. My plow rig had some good snow tires 235/85R16 with studs. But it got stuck too cause too much snow would get under the axles and when your tires arent on ground anymore, you prettty much stop.
nahhhhh, in deep snow u dont want heavy lug because they chew to much, all terrain tires are better in snow and diff clearence is key in snow look at people in iceland the bigger the tire the deeper the snow they go though
the only reason why the CRV is not bad in snow compared to other SUVs is because its lighter than most but try and bring it in snow deeper than its not moving
whats the specs on the black step side?
