@dfsgdfgad there is money in it,if your good.the problem is educating your market. go down bnq n u can buy what they call a stirdy gate for £100,to make that traditionally your looking at roughly 400-500.most people will pop down b n q not knowing the benefit of getting something well made.charging those prices for something you will be denied payment if your forging is rough and has poor finishing and the design doesn't work, skill is paramount. check out your local colleges, night classes?

Putting your thumb on the hammers handle like in the video is guaranteed to give you tendonitis in the elbow or even nerve damage in the neck region. It's because the vibration is transmitted directly to the tendon via the thumb, simply putting your thumb to the side of the handle sorta like you would hold a tennis racktet totally eliminates this. Remember that tendonitis is the end for a blacksmiths career because its cronic nature.
