Not at all! Since the show began, all England has called him "Doctor Who" despite that not being his actual name.

In fact, it was only in JNT's time on the show that he started being billed as "The Doctor" in the end credits of the show. Prior to that, he was listed as "Dr.Who."

I know. I understand that many people make the mistake. I always have known. Even as you say in the credits he has often been referred to as Doctor Who or Dr Who (Excluding the terrible Peter Cushing movies). But that doesn't stop it from being what I stated before. A misconception. A mistake :)

Therefore what I said still stands as though I understand that it IS a common misconception. It is still nonetheless a mistake and which is why I pointed it out here because I think Terry rocks.

I grew up with the series before the new series came out in 2005 due to my uncle having all the original episodes on tape and also due to the fact that my dead is an identical lookalike to Peter Davison. Who coincidentally my father also works in Television as an actor :)

I've been a fan since before I even saw the show; I read articles and books about the show until I finally saw it on PBS in the late 70's.

Couldn't wait to see the inside of the TARDIS and check out the Doctor's scarf. So what was the first story I saw? "The Talons of Weng-Chiang," in which neither was seen!

As to your dad, that's cool! What might we have seen him in? Do you have any such aspirations?

Peter Davison will always be cuter then Tennant. And he's still the youngest to have played the Doc. He was 29, Tennant was early-mid thirties. 5th Doctor rocks and sexiest Doc ever :D

I don't know, but I know that when they did Time Crash the BBC got the coat Peter Davison wore from a museum. I think it was the Doctor Who museum in Blackpool. And for anyone who doesn't know, the 5th Doctor wore a stalk of celery because he was afraid of a certain type of poison which the celery was sensitive to. It would turn purple if the poison was present.

I wonder if the reson why he gave his coat away wa becasue he was actaully just finished filming his last story, as this is from November 1983 and his last story was defiantely filmed in November 1983, but he deliberately changed his jumper to his original one to keep in sync witht he broadcast story.
