@Harrymfink i was under the impression he was doing 8th note triplets with his feet and 16th notes with his hands [or probably something more ridiculous like 5 over 4 because it's elliot hoffman]. i'm not a drummer though, that's just what it sounded like to me due to how much is being played :P i'm not trying to be condescending or anything, but how is that a syncopated rhythm? is he just accenting certain hits with his hands?

Yea. Its basically a single stroke roll between hands and feet with the accented snare placements (syncopation) that go along with the guitar.
