I own a 2004 F-250 6.0L dieselwith 3.73:1 gearing. Ford trucks do suck. hate to say it. i tow around a 5000lb S185 bobcat on a 18' flat deck goose neck trailer. my truck takes a crap going up even a small hill like 10% grade.

Dont buy a ford people. the 7.3L was a good engine, but ford switched to the 6.0L for w/e reason which has less power and worse fuel economy. then they switched to the 6.4L which still sucks.

cummins built the 5.9L engine from 1984-2006. if ford stuck with 1 engine...

@craigmoser123 you must be a complete moron. my old non intercooled 7.3 powerstroke tows our deere skid steer around with a mini excavator all over the damn place. and dont blame the gears because my sterling rear has 3.55 gears. granted my truck had upgrades, (intake, exhaust, ts chip, etc.) i put roughly 1100 bucks in upgrades and she rocks on with 17mpg loaded and almost 23 without the goose neck full of equipment. the 6liter motor is great with performance.

Always run silverado's, and the motor has never let me down. Hell, I even have dual 6 inch stacks on my truck. Surprisingly I have only gotten 1 bad comment, but it is what it is. The 6.7 has a huge horsepower increase and mega torque gains over the old 5.9. I can see the stroker ain't to fast, I'd say it's a slightly modified. Those older cummins can't get much power because it ain't computer controlled or somethin but that power is slow.
