They are a very diverse band. This song reminds of me of Cake and The Offspring a little, but in a good way. They are too diverse to say they are ripping off anyone's sound. Maybe they were even making fun of that sound. Does anyone have insight on this? I am new to these guys.

but, yes the dandy warhols are very diverse in their sounds, so much so you may have to check if it was them you heard on the radio.

they have been known to use references (musical) in subtle ways, with the covers of their albums (look up "welcome to the monkey house") and in songs in general.

i'm quite new to them as well but the more i hear the more i'm intrigued =]
