A very nice Trainer (and light ground attaker) very up to date. i sometimes saw the Yak130 s "italian brother " douring testflights north of milano near switzerland. I would realy like to have a ride in it.
@SilentEagles The L15 uses three MFD's (Multi-Functional-Displays) just like the Yak-130 does, it's just that the L-15 has them all in a straight row.
By the way, all American science it basically work of emigrants which at all did not get education in the USA. So and some countries which have selected the American way. It is the very bad way.
But, the Russian science is based on own resources. Russia does not entice scientists. And the Russian science in many branches has in the lead positions.
@ALBATROIZ It's entirely Russian, but they received help in improving their computer systems from the japanese in the 90's. But Russia now has technology comparable to america.
Really? That's a nice new. So i don't understand how can Russia be so strong in militar products and at the same time have no big and profitable engineering companies?
Why don't they play the same role that countries like Japan, Korea, Singapore and China have in eletronic/hi-tech market?
Russia is a world leader in nanotech, materials tech, medicine and electronics.
Just because their companies aren't famous (mainly because their names are hard to pronounce) doesn't mean that your desktop computer doesn't contain a few parts "Made In Russia".
They have already even in Soviet times. Most MiG-29 pilots were handed helmets with sensors that all it takes is a turn of the neck and point of your head to lock on to target without having to turn the whole plane like we do. This gave mig pilots a great advantage, but sure, helmets are an evolution process and I'm sure they are continuing this work in progress.
actually most of the training planes are special designed so it costs less to fly them but they are similair in electronics, capabilities so to simulate the real plane in which the pilot will fly for most of his carrier.. us had like f-5 tiger in the vietnam war, and so on, .. it is cheaper, and then after a couple of dozens hours you switch to SU-30 etc..
Well I guess you have a point there. Thats why they also have Su-27 trainer versions. But I think using the Yak-130 resembles most of the configurations of modern fighters imo. =)
Russia is a funny little country

I like the Chinese L-15 better than Russian Yak-130. The L-15 use full screen glass cockpit instead of 3 glass cockpit.

@SilentEagles doesnt metter how the cockpit looks like . its the radar and manueverability that does metter

The L-15 seems to be too similar to the Yak-130

Me surprises, why foreigners (basically Americans) so jealously react that Russia co-operates with other countries... "ah ah whose display"
Russia is integrated into the world market.

Who made this eletronics displays? And avionics?
How many percent of the eletronic hardware is russian?
I hope they built the entire plane!
