At first he was kinda a rival of Primes feeling passed over wen Sentinel Prime passed on the Matrix of Leadership to Prime instead of him. But later with feelings of guilt over his actions, he became a kinda unreluctant hero, a very great and powerful Transformer. He shared Optimus colors too. Unicron is a God like Transformer and planet eater, the opposite of "Primus."
