man i got a biiiiig family down in little rock that i dont know and my last name is flowers,so everytime i hear something about flowers i always wonder like that could be my uncle or my cuzzin,i hope everything goes well im from minnesota tho,you kno tha sota.
People need to become more involved in their kids lives and show them the other side of the story that isn't so glorious. Parents need to be their children's intervention.
moving,I hope this young man does'nt blow it. may God bless Mrs. flowers with strength and that Leifel will continue to reach out to young men pointing them in the right direction.
these stories really touching me, because I am from another workd where gang related issues were only in movies. America is the reality. What I see here are a few strong people how changed their lives from bad to good. I feel really sorry for the mother who lost her son. I had a friend in Houston, her son got killed by his own best friend just because of 5 dollars missing. Leifel is doing a good job for his own community. Thumbs up.
Ms. Flowers was on the first documentary. You'd think she could cope with her son's death now. Yet, it still affects her.
Leifel is an amazing man. Even when he was an active gangster in 1994, you could sense a man with intelligence. He was born to be a leader but in a positive way.
I hope that young man chooses the right path. Many kids were killed in that era for nothing. The life span of a black male was very short during those times.Choose life over death!!!
Yes, you are absolutely right; Leifel is a great (positve) leader! That's his gift.
I feel that Mrs Flowers may have gotten over her son's death to some extent but when having to discuss those painful memories to anyone may be tough. Thanks for your comment.
I wanted to reply to the comment u made on Ms. Flowers, my brother was killed thirteen years ago and my mom still cries when the subject is brought up. A parent never is able to cope with it they just tend to block it out.
Leifel Jackson has displayed incredible honor and integrity considering his beginnings. Everyone should reach out to help him and the programs he is involved in helping children in North Little Rock.
Mr. Jackson IS a great man. He really has a heart for kids.
