those are the slats!! with those the airplale can fly at a lower airspeed to be able to land and take off!! it produces more lift

Actually all slats do is allow the aircraft to fly at a higher angle of attack before stall, speed has nothing to do with it....Angle of attack or AOA is the angle of the wing to relative wind.

Those are slats, they are like the flaps in the back of the wing , they help the plane slow down and descend, also they use them for takeoff
