  • "La" è articolo determinativo singolare femminile. Quindi può essere usato con "spesa" non con spese. Fare "la Spesa" viene utilizzato nel senso di acquisto di generi alimentari e cose per la casa per qualche giorno o la settimana. Shopping può essere tradotto con "fare acquisti" o "fare spese" senza articoli. Andare in giro per la città a fare spese, fare acquisti. Andare al supermercato a fare la spesa.

  • you don't need to put "la" before "domenica"... it's just a normal day of the week it doesn't need any particular article

  • Horroroso!

  • Ho fatto la spesa.

  • Ho fatto la spese? Are you joking? Ho fatto la spesA!!!

  • You guys are very nice ! Auguri de Brasile ! :-)

  • This goofy little song got stuck in my head right away...which is a good thing! Days of the week--memorized! Thank you.

  • thank you very much!

  • lolololol che ORRORE "ho fatto la spese" si dice ho fatto la spesa ignorante americano -_-''

  • I don't care about whether the grammar is perfect. I found this song while looking for something to help me learn the days of the week and how to pronounce them (I have a problem with pronouncing everything like it's Spanish). This was a super cute video, a simple song, and greatly helped! Thanks for posting!

  • bè la pronucia + che italiana è africana :)

  • PFFFFFF My teacher. Degrazzia,, he uses Io sono andato al cinema every. Day. EVERY DAY. *headdesk* Is this like, a common phrase? DO people in Italy just like saying it? Or is it just Perugians? I dunno...

  • being an italian who lived in england for 17 years and therefore speask both languages fluently with no accent...these vidoes make me cry haha

  • quando guardo questi video, non riesco a non ridere......

  • NIrvana!

  • sono uno studente indiano e sto imparando italiano mi piace molto il vostro stile di insegnare ...i nostri insegnanti sono buoni ma spero che loro insegnino così..magari!!!

  • Ragazzi italiani, non possiamo pretendere che gli americani sappiano l'italiano come un italiano, il nostro è un linguaggio complicato e qualche piccolo errore ci può stare... :D I love your lessons, and I'm happy to see that the italian is appreciated in other countries... Excuse me for my bad English XD

  • Oh my goodness! what kind of Italian is this? Ho giocato un gioco? Plzzzz, whoever would say that? ho fatto la spese: minor mistakes? plzz And why do you put the article before 'domenica' only? When you use the article in front of (all) the days of the week you mean 'on Sundays'. I discourage my students to use these stupid videos with English translation (very bad habit).

  • @user2812

Too bad you have very poor manners.

We would have been happy to promote your channel, but not after such rude comments.

  • @user2812 yeah your an ass

  • I Suggest people stop being kinda rude in thier comments to the people they come to lessons. Make since eh?

  • hahah... you guys are funny

    thanks for the lessons!

  • Hello!

You can say "domenica" instead of "la domenica": e.g. "domenica non ho fatto niente".

  • Essa música não sairá mais da minha cabeça rsrs

  • it's SO nice to see an american guy speaking italian! =)

  • la spesa not le spese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahahaha

  • Hey everyone! If you say: "Ho fatto la spesA", you mean that you went to the supermarket and you bought something to eat or something to drink. If you say: "Ho fatto spese/compere", you mean that you went shopping. P.S We often say: "ho fatto shopping" not "ho fatto la spesa"..yeah we use your english word :D it's pretty funny :) I'm sorry for my bad English . :D

  • @Honey9905 Here in Rome you say 'ho fatto la spesa' but the aim of the lesson really was to teach the days of the week

  • la spesA non la spesE

  • Sorry, but your italian is still a bit bad...

It's "Ho fatto la spesA", not "Ho fatto le spesE"! "Spese" is plural, not singular.

And Sunday is only "Domenica", without "La". "La" is "The" in english.

Another thing: "Ho giocato un gioco" doesn't exist in italian! The right sentence is "Ho giocato AD un gioco".

  • very good video for practising, pitty that the voice was aweful.

    doesn't matter!

  • If I may, I would remove "la" before "domenica". I mean, every day of the week can have the article (for all except domenica the article is "il", domenica as you said uses "la") but it's rarely used.

Love your videos! Keep them coming, you guys are awesome :)

    Greetings from Milan

  • all italian complaing for everthing! let enough! he do a good good work! ( i apologize for my worste english)

  • la spesa

  • little errors trascurable such as: "Ho fatto la spesa" not "le spese"

note: fare la spesa means go to the supermarket or elsewhere to buy things you need; do shopping for pleasure in Italian is simple: "Ho fatto shopping"

we use this english word because we learned it from the American films and because of the radicated filo_american culture that had existed in italy since you saved us during WWII

  • Great video, you guys! However take note that CHE NE SACCIO? is NOT Italian. The correct way is COSA NE SO?

CHE NE SACCIO? is a dialect expression only used by people in the area around Naples (Campania). I hope I've been of some help.

    Bye bye

  • ho giocato un gioco ?-.-

  • oh my god this is so annoying..

  • questo signore che insegna e parla però non è italiano.. ha un pessimo accento xD

    This Guy isn't Italian..

  • @MarySmiiile che questo signore non è italiano lo capiscono anche gli inglesi perchè un italiano che sappia parlare l'inglese o viceversa senza nessuna inflessione linguistica che non traspare la minima provenienza italiana/inglese è decisamente impossibile...a meno che non si viva nel paese sin da piccolissimi...e comunque l'accento non è forte ne fastidioso :D

  • that wazz awesome

  • we love you!!!!!!!! ignorante!

  • hey I have a question..so you use past perfect in italian instead of simple past?

  • giovedì ho giocato AD un gioco - sabato ho fo la spesA

  • 2:04 sabato ho fatto la spese not correct, the proper pronunciation is sabato ho fatto la spesa

    i'm italian

  • Thank you for your comment. Remember, these "lessons" are more like a study group of **students** helping each other. Minor mistakes will happen. However, the key part of the lesson _the days of the week- are correct. Right?

  • @ItalianLessons101 I'll answer for him: the names of days are correct, except for sunday: if you say "la domenica", you must to say in english "the sunday". I know, i'm a niggler. Attention to pronounce: your "panino" looks like "pnino". Your A after the P is almost mute. "Ho giocato A un gioco" or "Ho fatto un gioco" are almost acceptable, but you missed the A.

  • @5Up3rdev1c3 ho giocato AD un gioco. La preposizione è AD e non A. Dopo la preposizione c'è una parola che comincia per vocale, quindi AD e non A.

  • @gnigneti Si, hai ragione. Colpa mia

  • @ItalianLessons101 sono uno studente indiano e sto imparando italiano mi piace molto il vostro stile di insegnare ...i nostri insegnanti sono buoni ma spero che loro insegnino così..magari!!!

  • @whitebassi haha thanks for the correction but you realize we cant HEAR your "proper pronunciation" over the computer!!! I just studied for 6 weeks in italy and its very hard as it is for anyone to learn a new language so I give all people who study language credit! lets cut some slack!!!!! Thanks for the videos italianlessons 101!!!

  • Sorry for getting back to you late... My family came to the United States before 1910, so any Italian language I know I learned in college. My wife, is from a non English speaking Sicilian family in Toronto Canada.

    Thanks for watching.

  • @ItalianLessons101 infact you use an exagerate pronunciaction, tipically of the Sicilian 80 years ago, very hilarious in Italy because almost disappeared from decads. Probably the family of your wife uses an ancient form of Italian, passed away from generations. But the days of the week are perfect and well pronunciated

    good work!

  • italian is so strange...HO FATTO "LA SPESA"..means I WENT TO THE MARKET TO BUY EVERY DAY THINGS, NOERMALLY FOOD...BUT...HO FATTE "DELLE" SPESE/HO FATTO DELLE COMPERE (best translation for I WENT SHOPPING...means...I WENT BUYING SEVERAL THINGS IN SEVERAL SHOPS, EVEN IN MALLS IF YOU LIKE, AHAHAH...but we DO say VADO A FARE SHOPPING, especially when we buy things for our own pleasure ;)

  • first of all thanks for postin these videos on here they r very helpfull but simple learnin would av been great.

anyway thanks again keep up the good work

  • Thanks Im retired living in Italy and I find your videos very helpful learing . The important thing for me is I can communicate with the locals . Im very shy with the language but if I can have fun with it maybe it will work out better for me .

  • Hope you will withdraw the videos that need correction. It would be helpful. Thanks.

  • Looking forward to more lessons. Have to learn as we are headed for Italy in May. Thank you.

  • your a real good singinger i like your voice and this real help me on learnig italian

  • you can use shopping also in italian! you can say: sono andato a fare shopping! =)

  • Ahha...

    :D

  • Sabato ho fatto la spesa. Spesa with "A" No "E". So it's funny 4 italians. ROLF

  • We try to be as accurate as possible, but sometimes we will mess up. When we do, we understand that it could be very funny to native Italian speakers. :D

    Thanks for watching.

  • Being GIOCARE a transtive verb you should have said HO GIOCATO A UN GIOCO :)

You did a great funny job :D i don't know if i'm gonna stop to laugh ahah :D

    Please do more :)

  • We aim to entertain...

    :D

  • ho fatto la spesa, non la spese

  • Peccato per la pronuncia che è strana xD

  • We hope it's entertaining.

Wait until I start reading a list of Italian "bad words/phrases". Now that is going to be comedy/entertainment.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Si dovrebbe dire " Ho giocato a un gioco".

    Comunque bravo!

  • excellent again,actually it's so ridiculous it's funny:take it as a compliment!i want more...

  • una piccola correzione: sabato ho fatto la spesA, singolare :) sennò sarebbe " sabato sono andato a fare spese"

anyway, you're really good! I think this kind of teaching is interesting and catchy! go on like this! greetings from Milan :)

  • Thank you for your kind words... I keep making errors.... arrgh! :D

    We're happy you watched.

  • oh well, don't worry! I make mistakes too when I speak/write in English, even though I've been studying it for a long time...and the errors you make are just little things! nothing serious or nothing you can't fix with some tips :)

  • BRAVISSIMOOOOOO!!!! ^___^

Clap clap clap clap clap applauses from Italy!!!

Ciao Joseph!!!!! You rock! ; )

    Stefano
