I've watched a bunch of vids that are from Muslims and read the comments and the biggest thing I got was that it must be real hard to be a Muslim. If I'm wrong tell me but it read like Muslims will go to heaven for the good works they do. Is this true? As a Christian we learn that there is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven because everything we do is like dirty rags but G-ds grace and forgiveness gets us in. Why the difference?

The people who will get into heaven either you are a muslim or not are those the Almighty Allah see fit for it, as the Almighty is happy with you, you will be happy with him. What concerned me was all the fuss and effort some muslims put into things like deoderant, plucking eyebrows and small things. That doesn't make sense to me. When you say I only need to do a little bit of good works I think of the rest of the time and it falls apart. Because how much bad do you do the rest of the time. In a way your saying there are limits to good works for example "Wudoo after going to the toilet" is an amount.The rest of the time he could be doing bad works. @123surger John 10:30 is often used as proof that Jesus is God because Jesus said, “I and the father are one.” But, if you read the next six verses, you will find Jesus explaining that his enemies were wrong to think that he was claiming to be God. What Jesus obviously means here is that he is one with the Father in purpose.

Obviously, he was not praying that all his disciples should somehow merge into one individual (see John 17:11 and 22). And when Luke reports that the disciples were all one, Luke does not mean that they became one single human being, but that they shared a common purpose although they were separate beings (see Acts 4:32).

However, a careful reading of the over 300 prophesies of who the Messiah will be, what will he do, what is his life & purpose, what is his nature: presents a problem for both Jews and Muslims-many of the prophesies write of Divine attributes in him.

I & C are different in this: in I, the words of Jesus were given by Allah from outside his body, as any prophet before had received them. In C, the words Jesus spoke were inspire from within because Jesus' spirit was fully equal to the spirit of God Himself. As for the prophecies describing Messiah as divine, no, I am saying they were fulfilled in his First coming.

I've watched a bunch of vids that are from Muslims and read the comments and the biggest thing I got was that it must be real hard to be a Muslim. If I'm wrong tell me but it read like Muslims will go to heaven for the good works they do. Is this true? As a Christian we learn that there is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven because everything we do is like dirty rags but G-ds grace and forgiveness gets us in. Why the difference?

@colonius12321 And read the bible and find the countless contradictions...Oh and the bible code is refuted in many ways considering it can be tuned to create a word that one is searching for intentionally...it's no mathematical revelation but rather a unqualified method of justifying ones religious beliefs.So stop trying to attack other religions, in this case Islam, or any believer of that faith.because the bible/Christianity can easily be proved to have several more inaccuracies than Islam....

@Stickman786 now what contradictions are u reading (when u dont believe the bible is correctly translated) all the while sprouting that Islam is 'pure'. well thats great if you read arabic but since most of the world doesnt we now have multiple translations of the koran and guess what I dont think they all say the same thing. so the purity of Islam is maybe not as pure as people are led to believe. The Smithonian Institute and 2 others maintain original copies of the 66 books from the 26 authors

Are you confused between a person and a religion? Actions by the .0000000001% of muslims who commit horrific acts like what these suicide bombers do, do not represent a religion. Just like I believe the Inquisition doesn't reflect the true moral value of Christianity. But regardless, atonement is a complicated matter. Also, yes I am aware of the Old Testament and I am aware of the life of David, Saul and many others. Once again, there was a reason for Jesus coming to man. He came as the redeemer and he came to, "fulfill the law." The only commandment that Jesus gave to his apostles was, "To love one another, as I have loved you." Jesus is the word and lived among us to clarify God's intent.

Jesus was pure in heart and in his actions. Muhammad fought wars, conquered tribes, slayed enemies, married many women and had harems. Particularly, his marriage to Aisha is something of great concern and what happened there is debatable. Nontheless, I submit that regardless of his imperfections, there is something that cannot be argued. He lived a rich life. A rich man shall have a hard time entering the kingdom of heaven. I submit that Muhammad served himself and Jesus served humanity.

That is to say, the only pure character ever. The Koran bears witness to this. The Torah announces Jesus and many Jews of Jesus' time believed he was the Messiah and followed him and his teachings after his resurrection. Janglee, there are many things that I have questioned in my life about religion and the destruction that has been caused by it; I would submit to you though that the words of Jesus Christ or Issah if you will are the most pure and relevant to our understanding.

So, with this in mind, also remember that in Genesis it says that the Word was with God. What is the word? The word is the truth. Jesus was the human incarnation of this truth and Jesus is the Word. The Holy Spirit is the part of God which connects God's majesty with his creation, Man. Is it becoming more "logical" to you now? I think we also have a common agreement of Jesus' divinity, for the Koran teaches of his role in the judgement also and it teaches of him being the only pure character

This is not three separate entities. Note that in Genesis, which all three of the religions currently being compared adhere to, says Man was created in God's image. What does that mean?
