  • Thanks for the video - sublime style.

You mention that your monofin is a medium (stiffness); but it seems rather hard/stiff in the video. Is there a difference in stiffness between monofins and dual fins?

  • :) MAGNIFICENT

  • What the time??

Qual o tempo total da apneia??

  • @Nutricionistaonline Just as in the video. So go ahead and time it :-)

  • unbelievable!! :)

  • que folego

  • INCREIBLE, YO NO AGUANTO NI 25 METROS!

  • den her video er grunden til jeg dyrker fridykning i dag... det er SÅ EPISK elegant at se på... så meget mere stilfuldt end "kick and glide"...

og så med en waterway mod ll...

    FANTASTISK!!!!

  • Hey dude awesome awesome awesome dive. My best bi-fin dive is 38m down =/ I don't think people really understand how hard this is!

  • Very nice

  • Holly shit.........his abs must be burning red-hot after he finished that! Though I haven't tried a mono-fin and don't know how hard it is with good technique.....

  • how?

  • Wow! I can't believe I saw this sooner!! I've been free diving for two years now And I can only make it 100m with a monofin, and even then, barely!! Congrats man! I hope someday I can do that too!

  • @ilovemoneyfood I rember my first personal best was 68m when the WR was 171m, so just hang in there :-) Best wishes...

  • you goog

  • Great....!

  • wow

  • muy bueno exelent i from chile

    ;)

  • @baxty99 yo tb soy de Chile!!

  • I don't really understand how that neck thingy works. Is it to breathe out the air under water in small steps or is it to get the air into the lungs in small steps before diving?

  • stud

  • esas aletas están chidas

  • 一口氣200米游動..太厲害..佩服佩服...

  • @Bangjuu0911573695 胃口好我的朋友

  • This is amazing. Id love to be able to do this iv been trying for a while and it turns out very though. you must have been training for ages.

  • Det må jeg sige.. Det ser squ godt ud.. Go`stil.

Go jagt og safe dives ;-)

  • What´s this on his neck?

  • What´s this on his neck?

  • Wow det är fantastiskt! Det är säkert den bästa delfinen kick jag någonsin har sett i mitt liv! Fortsätt med det DET ÄR HÄRLIGT!!

  • Wooaah Guy your'e a professional and more! Congratulations!

  • g fait se sport personnellement et c pas facile

  • Imagining that you have to do 25-50 meters to succeed the ranger school!

  • Awesome

  • hmmm...i m speechless of your feast!!!..........

  • this is crazy holding your breath for 3 mins is hella hard let alone he was swimming which uses up oxygen too

  • You got 2 b kidding me!!!! That was out of this world. Congrats man from Mexico :)

  • OMG THAT WAS INSAAAANEEE!! By the way, what can I do to increase my lunges' resistance?? So I can hold my breathe for longer time

  • wow, congrats, my record is at 50m without fin and holding for 2.46min but ur is pretty impressive :D

  • my god !!!!

  • what is the thing he wore on his neck?

  • @kelvincsw a 1.8 kg neck weight aparently

  • WOW

  • this makes me believe that I will get to swim with dolphins underwater for a long time.... I have allready started my journey into the world of apnea freediving I have got the book "Manual of freediving" underwater on a single breath, and im loving it.. I am still far from my goal But i shall persevere.

  • what's this music's name?

  • INSPIRING! YOU ROCK!

  • I'm guessing that's a waterway monofin # 1 or 2 in "hard" stiffness ?

    Btw, CONGRATS on the 200m ! It's amazing !

  • @marcusjack Thanks :-)

You are right - almost! The fin is a Waterway Mod 2 in medium. Foot pocket 260 mm for my EUR size 43, which means that it is VERY tight!!! I would like to see some of the the top guys of today doing 200m with a fin like this and a neck weight of 1,8 kg hehe ;-)

  • @PeterPedersen True that, I'd like to see what you can do with a hyperglide !

  • @PeterPedersen

What is the Neck weight for ?

  • @PeterPedersen 1.8 kg?! Wow, my very first neckweight was heavier even. :)

Very nice swimming style, I'm glad you uploaded this record, thanks, and granulation for that DYF WR.

  • @jeechun Thanks very much :-)

My first neckweight was only 970g - the first of its kind in Denmark ;-) From what the weight of the neckmeights are now, it seems like a hundred years ago...

  • WOW WOW WOW...

  • Awesome job...

  • hermoso espectaculo.. saludos desde Perú

  • Amazing!

  • Ignore the haters... that is impressive!

Also, name of the song (and artist?)? Reply much appreciated. Once again great job :)

  • Waw!!! amazing :)

  • Really good job Peter. Lot of respect !

  • Really god job Peter. Lot of respect !

  • song?

  • amazing speed, you are very good, make me wanna have a monophin

  • I swam 60 yards underwater and actually swam it, with no fins and no particular training.

  • beautiful, aesthetic, elegant, powerful!!!!!!

Is it possible to get the vid in higher res?

    respectful, TheWheazel

  • @TheWheazel Thanks man!

sorry abt the res, but I only had this version.

  • What is that thing you put around your neck?

  • @wranglerx07 it's weight.

  • it looks fake. why all the camera changes

  • i think it's unfair to be said human ability. he was assisted by the fin. but it's remarkable tho. he made it about 2mins dolphin kicks underwater. he might able to do this for 100m i suppose??

  • @faisal2401 If u are suggesting that it is a fake, I will take it as a compliment ;-)

As I have stated before, the video is made out of photage from two days - you might also have noticed that there is sun in the uw shots and not from the video taken from the edge of the pool. The reason for this is that the video would be VERY boring, if it just showed from above the surface - and like this it also gives a better view of the swimming looking at it from the uv-photage.

  • @PeterPedersen so u mean he didnt actly swim 200m underwater in 1 breath??

  • @faisal2401 Yes I did ;-)

I just made the video out of different shots to make it more interesting...

  • I think I might be able to do half.

  • @jerryboy219 Never mind... Just do it twice ;-)

  • perfect style and wonderfull performance !

  • all shud up he the best diver i ever seen i want to see you all do what he did even if you all will try you will drown

  • all shud up he best diver i ever senn i want to see you all do what he did even if you all will try you will drown

  • danish yeah

  • I can go 100 yards on one breath with no fins.

  • real men do it without the fin : )

  • @DanFrederiksen Haha Dan :-D Are u a real man????

  • @DanFrederiksen Lol try 200m without fin :D id like to see u fail :P

Btw if my dynamic apnea is 75m without fins, what will it be with a mono fin?

  • Awsome !

My best perform is 50m without palms, hyperventilation. Its nothing to you but did you have some request to me to beat 100m ?

PS: I'm not pratice swimimng pool on club only when I've some times to go there.

  • So you did 200M on 2 diff. days? correct? THAT'S INSANE!!!! =O

  • @xVenomNiax No no no no.... On the second day I just did some swims for the camera ;-)

Actually I tried to beat the 200m, but the thought of making the turn kinda blew me away... Did it later ofcause!

  • How much do Dynamic weight collars weigh????

  • VIVA VENEZUELAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • bravo!!!!!

  • bravo you got my attention

  • If one retrains an automatic breathing pattern so that to breathe only 3-4 breaths per minute (e.g., during sleep), the maximum breath hold will be about 7-9 minutes since it is the unconscious breathing that defines body oxygenation. Most free divers have about 2-3 min for max apnea and only few are able to change their breath down to 3-4 breaths per min at rest. For more info search for "Buteyko Table of Health Zones". Learning the Buteyko method will help to get there.

  • Im not sure that I understand this right... The World Record in Static Apnea is well past 11 min and many freedivers can hold their breath for 8 min.

  • @PeterPedersen I know that the records are over 10 min. I mean that it is the way the person breathes 24/7 (unconsciously) that matters most for long or maximum breath holds. If you find "Buteyko Table of Health Zones", you will understand.

  • @PeterPedersen even my static apnea is 3:50 and i only practise since 1 month -.-

  • @qurdel1 Good work! Keep up your practice and be safe ;-)

  • @PeterPedersen Hey! Thanks alot! I could already increase it to 4:00 xD

But my dynamic apnea without fins remains 60m, that annoys me..

Can i remain in contact iwth you, i need tips to increase my time. and my techenique!

  • WoW thats amazing i never saw that someone can so long dive 200m thats faking amazing

  • Amazing what humans can do... great job !

  • FUCK!!!

  • Congrats.

  • what is the thing around your neck ?

  • amazing!congratulations for this great record!

  • GJ!

  • hello!, is that the waterway monofin model 1? the standard one? i think you can go further if you use more expensive monofin these days.

  • what is the tube around his neck

  • compliments, looks like you're more confortable underwater than outside..

    ;-)

    beautiful video,impressive achievement.

  • DON'T TRY THAT

  • And where did you get those fins I'm training like u and I'm height years old. And I'm swiming like a Merman to!

  • What's the music name?

  • what is that around his neck??

  • OMG Amazing!!!!!

  • absolument superbe

  • wow amzing

    this song is ???

  • sin palabras

  • FAST!!!!

  • Just amazing!

  • lol i can take my breath to 7minutes and 37 seconds. :) without apnea with apnea i can hld my breath to 19 min. and 23 seconds but you guy rock

  • Amazing performance. Bravo! What is that you are doing with your mouth just after taking your last big breath and just before you dive? It looks like you're swallowing air (I'm guessing I'm wrong though)

  • Thank you :-)

You are very close! The thing Im doing with my mouth is called packing. It is a way of forcing more air into the lungs. Using this technique gives me around 1 L of extra air.

  • @PeterPedersen I just tryed that technique. I improved my time by minute or so :)

  • @Arturas12 DON'T try packing unless you have been taught how to- if you do it wrong you could rupture your lungs. Easy way to hold breath longer, just search 'expand-a-lung' on google, you'll add a minute on after a few hours with it. :)

    seriously, don't pack.

  • Hi, how long is it possible to hold your breath without hyperventilating? Like spur of the moment breath out then breath in and hold?

  • my best is 28 m

  • Chuck Norris Son lol?

  • amazing

  • Faaa es una bestia...

  • ich schaffe gerade mal 50 meter tauchen o_O & das grad so ...

  • MONGOLEN BIZAR! Ohh dat gaan we morgen ook doen!

  • WOW ! impressive ! HumanShark :D

  • holy shit i tried doin the 50m and it almost killed me lol

are u somekind of a fish sir? lol

  • Wowww. :O

I'm getting my monofin this Wednesday. And I'[m going to be using it a lot. Can't wait.

  • omg....

  • ja wooow mit Flossen schwimmt er 200m

Er soll es mal ohne versuchen

  • damn good video!!!

    nice camera work as well

i enjoyed it very well =]

  • I like the song who plays this, reminds me of my club and rave days....Awesome Song!!

  • Not an easy Challenge but you made it look easy. Great job.

  • just amazing i really want to learn how to freedive, too!

  • I was a swimmer at British level and my max without fins and equipment was 50 meters one length is that any good? like no where near the distance of you but do you need natural ability or is it something you can train? also what should you train speed or amount of breath you can hold because the faster you go the more energy is lost so more blood gets pumped round the body. so what is it better to do swim slower but for longer or faster for a shorter period of time?

  • amazing.

  • my max is 25m lol :DDD

  • Comment removed

  • WOW, I passed out just watching this video... that is amazing! how long is that pool?

  • @rafaelcruz589 it's obviously 50m as he dived 4 lines ;)

  • 200 apnea es casi imposible por no decir imposible

  • how long did he hold his breath?

  • bery nicee!!

  • Awesome !!! R u insane, man :)) what r u doin', u think... That was Woooww

  • Hi everyone, I will take lessons to swim with a monofin and I want to know if it more easier to do a long distance with a monofin rather than normal fins?

(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my first language)

  • excelente!!!!

  • beautiful form

  • I think that the video would be better as a one shot. The impression of the feat in its entirety is lost by the continual cutting away. Better to cover the dive with an elevated long shot which shows the dive in its entirety. This a problem with a lot of the videos of dynamic apnea in my opinion.

  • @Trpanek I agree: should have made it time-lapse, maybe with the camera at one end or the other.

  • Inspiring!! Awesome Peter!

  • what the hellllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Hi,

could you tell the name of this music? How do I get it ?
