    But yea these are good. I usually add more repititions to add more strain. Depending on your goals. This is just to add more muscle though, you need a good diet to lose the flab :)

  • That's because you aren't doing them correctly. Watch the video and try again, it's difficult to get at first.

  • Of course she eats, what a silly question. Being lean doesn't equate to starvation, but eating properly and exercising. Plain and simple.

  • That sounds like a great plan - but I know a lot of people who exercise and eat healthy food - and they stay the same year after year. Still cant lose the fat. There must me a bit more to it than that. If you check the Fat Into The fire site, this guy claims to have pieced it all together after 20 some years of research. Says it is simple and easy to follow.

  • Yes the scissor exercise works your lower abs too.

  • This is common because it is a core exercise and core exercises work the areas above the knees (your quads) too. These are tough exercises and if you aren't in great shape they can be very very difficult. Just keep doing them and you will find them to be easier.

  • Oh okay thanks. One more question (sorry!) um, I've heard that if you want to burn fat you should do cardio a lot more than toning. I'm not overweight but I still want to shed a few pounds. Will this workout be okay, along with cardio?

  • Yes this is fine to do with cardio. Cardio is good for burning fat, but interval strength training is better. If you do a circuit with resistance bands or weights you keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone and build muscle. When you build muscle you enable your body to burn more calories at rest.
