Ah! Thanks. Lucas was Sara's lover, right? And Sara is Lorenzo's granddaughter. Lola mentioned once how everyone had been against the Lucas/Sara pairing and it caused so much pain. So I think that all and Lucas' death/ Sara's pain is why Lorenzo changed his tune about PyS. I doubt he watched the whole liaison. I think he took the funny little cop back to the station then came back to confront PyS. Reasonable explanation- at least in my mind. (Or Spaniards have a thing about voyeurism. LoL.)
By saying that her dad should have waited to talk to them is missing what I think was an important and pivotal point of the scene: He went in intending to read them the riot act for the relationship AND for the little matter of a false alarm on what Pepa had been overheard to be saying was a potentially dangerous investigation. (Dad riding to the rescue, yeah?) HOWEVER, when Sylvia defiantly put her arm around Pepa, he acknowledged that pepa wasn't an evil seductress - this is a love affair.
