Martina Borst: Tal serpeggia del monte nel seno; Hasse (Artemisia)

I'm pretty sure this is Martina Borst singing. On a good day, but still pretty dull and mediocre in my opinion. Scheidermann is always far better technically and more interesting dramatically.

I hear the first verse is "Tal serpeggia del monte nel seno", it seems like an aria di paragone about the lava in a volcano than bursts out and "minaccia il pastor" in the end. Just a guess, I'm not Italian and I'm having a hard time figuring out what she sings exactly in the middle verses.

The countertenors are exceptionally aweful.

I don't have the libretto or any kind of list of arias for this opera so I really can't tell whose aria this is and I don't feel like guessing.

...and the singer singing this aria is most probably the mezzo Martina Borsi. Hope this helps. :)

I must be Martina Borst I think.

Anyway, I think it's probably Schneiderman who is actually a mezzo.

On the other hand I think that Borst would have more trouble with this aria than this singer here. I'm uncertain enough not to put any names on the video.
