These lyrics are great, more than a silly dialogue. It's about men's and women's relationships and sex equality. The way he talks to her is intrusive, as a sexist way of chatting up but she faces all in refusing to answer. It's a feminist song in fact. Nothing to do with"lower-class" rudeness (!) but with men and women equality. The fact that it is sung by a woman is not insignificant - there are other songs based on this type of dialogue, such as "Bergerade" by feminist singer Anne Sylvestre.

The lyrics are not very good. They are full of indiscreet, rude or mundane questions and comments. Lower-class, really! Like, who cares what she's boiling, not to speak of making fun of his face and the totally inappropriate questions about petticoats and pants.
