I enjoy looking at your videos and trying out your style, excellent work, you must have a school because you are a natural teacher and if you haven't then perhaps you should.
You are AMAZING! thanks for all the tutorials man! i`m just a begginer and i find these tutorials very helpfull. If you could make more BUENA VISTA SOCIAL club, or brazilian jazz tutorials that would be great!
@GiveOrLooseIt yes ı know ..ı saw your performance last salsa jam and we did bachata dance wıth you in the road house bar (famagusta):D salsa night;) maybe 3 years ago.. ıf you wıll come agaın to north cyprus, ı want see you! and one day definitly ı wıll come X-pressions dance school and we dance together;)
@malaleche240 He has a quite typical accent of a Greek speaking in English - he is Cypriot though and there is some slight Cypriot accent passing on to his English. Greeks speak generally very good english, Cypriots even better because they were unfortunate enough to be a British base too...
Anyway, he is a cool guy, and his teaching on the subtilities of guitar playing is just excellent. It is not easy to explain what he explained cooly here. Many thanks!
muchas gracias!! for all your videos. i've learned so much from you and than found you teaching this amazing song. Your the best please keep the videos coming.
Thank you bud, after learning your version I listened to my cd and (I am not tryin to be a jerk) is the Gmaj supposed to be a G min, it sounds like it in the disc, THANK YOU SO MUCH THO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@SEKSHINATE i am trying to be a jerk, in the video i just watched he said g minor. did you not see the part about the removal of " the bad ass finger"? did you even watch the video? or are you that much of a pompous asshole that you correct people even whe they're right? what the fuck?
Ελα ρε φιλε !! thank you so much for this tutorial, it's the first one I've learnt. Could you make another one to teach us the jazz sample that u play at the begining pleaz ?
Man! You should teach this thing you do in the beginning ofthe video! It's the coolest thing!! By the way, it was that chords what potter1990 was asking for too!
Man, you're awsome! Thanks for the video and I don't want to be practical, but where are you from? You should come from Cuba because of your great technique. :) Keep it up!
this is really really good although i like the version where the second chord is an f major. pero es muy bien me encanta como tu tocar la guitarra, correct my spanish becase its probably wrong :) adios y gracias
I really like the friendliness and how well you explain everything. You should also show how to play that latin riff you played in the beginning because it sounded really cool!
I LOVE THIS...SO GREAT YOUR TEACH SUBERB...I have been trying to teach myself spanish/latin guitar and i find it such a wonderful but at the same time challenge to comprehend the hard tabs and scales. Your video has seriously helped me...I cannot wait until i have more time after College in a few weeks to learn more of the stuff you put on and possible make a request for song I have been wanting to play for months but it has me totally stumped. Thanks you much for your wonderful music. Julietta
Hey dude it was so amazing!!!! Please can you give me the chords of the first song you play as an example of latin guitar groove??? I,m dying to play that riff... Thankyou so much and keep teaching!!!!

Lovely new style for me! I picked this up quite quickly thank god! I really appreciate your lessons so much I hope you know the differences you are making to peoples guitar playing, everyones guitars can smile!

hey man good video, just one thing though. You mentioned that the song was to be played in a rhythm pattern of 4 beats, but in fact what give the original version its groove is the fact that its not in blocs of 4.If you listen to the original, the rhythm pattern goes 1-2-3/1-2-3-4-5/1-2-3/1-2-3-4-5(each / being where you change the chord). Its that different pattern that gives it that nice swing of the original(I realize that u didnt claim to be teaching the original vers.) keep up the good work!

What is that latin/jazzy song you're playing in the beginning??? I'm trying to follow it! =P

It's not a specific song.
Just 1 of my "Latin Picking" put 2gether with some Chords.
GiveOrLooseIt 3 years ago
...
It sounds wonderful, what are the chords? =P You should do a video on how to play that little piece! Heh
Dararith 3 years ago
hey man good video, just one thing though. Its that different pattern that gives it that nice swing of the original(I realize that u didnt claim to be teaching the original vers.) keep up the good work!
gab204 3 years ago
No no my friend...
It's a 4/4 rhythm.
How you listen to it is not how u count it!
I dance to that song for years now in Latin clubs and when i teach at my school.
Even if u don't play some of the counted beats, there are still there.
When i am counting for u the intro i do it in slowed down double time.
Cool to notice though!
Ear is the most important in any music or dance!
God Bless!
;)
GiveOrLooseIt 3 years ago
I know the rhythm is in 4/4 but the chords don't change every four beats which is what gives it that groove. Anyways, keep it up
