  • thanks mate! greetings from Germany!

  • you talk like Carlito Brigante from Carlitos Way, cool gangster accent

  • @malaleche240 He has a quite typical accent of a Greek speaking in English - he is Cypriot though and there is some slight Cypriot accent passing on to his English. Greeks speak generally very good english, Cypriots even better because they were unfortunate enough to be a British base too...

Anyway, he is a cool guy, and his teaching on the subtilities of guitar playing is just excellent. It is not easy to explain what he explained cooly here. Many thanks!

Isn't the tempo of the Dm different than the others? Shouldn't you play the Dm and then kinda "interrupts" it with the F?

I was wondering could you help play Summertime, that I can sing along to. I would like the playing to be easy, simple so that the singing can be more colourful. Any Ideas? If not, that's ok, I'll keep checkin out your vids and learning new things from you

    Hope you are well

    Bye :0)

  • What is that latin/jazzy song you're playing in the beginning??? I'm trying to follow it! =P

  • It's not a specific song.

Just 1 of my "Latin Picking" put 2gether with some Chords.

  • ...

It sounds wonderful, what are the chords? =P You should do a video on how to play that little piece! Heh

  • hey man good video, just one thing though. You mentioned that the song was to be played in a rhythm pattern of 4 beats, but in fact what give the original version its groove is the fact that its not in blocs of 4.If you listen to the original, the rhythm pattern goes 1-2-3/1-2-3-4-5/1-2-3/1-2-3-4-5(each / being where you change the chord). Its that different pattern that gives it that nice swing of the original(I realize that u didnt claim to be teaching the original vers.) keep up the good work!

  • No no my friend...

    It's a 4/4 rhythm.

How you listen to it is not how u count it!

I dance to that song for years now in Latin clubs and when i teach at my school.

Even if u don't play some of the counted beats, there are still there.

When i am counting for u the intro i do it in slowed down double time.

    Cool to notice though!

Ear is the most important in any music or dance!

    God Bless!

    ;)

  • I know the rhythm is in 4/4 but the chords don't change every four beats which is what gives it that groove. Anyways, keep it up

  • ke jefe!!

  • you're so good!! I really like this music! unfortunately I have steel strings so it's kind of hard to play :( what kind of guitar do you recommend? - Sylke :)

  • A steel guitar should be just fine 2!

    :)

It just needs a litle more practise.

    Keep at it amigo!

    God Bless.

    ;)

  • great one - love to learn with you, so easy and pleasent.

    god bless(:
