Thanks for sharing, but this looks awful. I was really hoping that Turbine would have made some effort to push the engine or do something dramatically new with the expansion. Unfortunately it looks like they haven't really achieved much and are charging for another bland questing hub :(.
The final scene in the video with the camp also indicates how dated the engine has become when tricks like this have to be used, but also look so obvious.
@IvanTheHealer Can't tell if trolling tbh. The Turbine G3 engine is over 5 years old and the vast majority of engines to debut since are better.
That isn't what bothers me though as I expect newer engines to supersede it, what bothers me is that the Turbine G3 engine for Isengard looks and runs the same as it did for Shadows of Angmar. They haven't spent time upgrading the core of the game which means when we get to Helm's Deep or whatever, we'll be facing waves of 4 or 5 orcs at a time.
@MrColinWinter im glad to report that turbine announced massive technological updates to allow massive battles of quote "unprecedented scale" to happen with RoI. That means that helms deep will be HELMS DEEP. and not a couple of waves of orcs (*cough*siege of gondamon*cough*)
@IvanTheHealer Yeah I read that article too, which I think was written just after the RoI announcement. Since written there has been little evidence to back up the claim though.
Turbine need to get out of the habit of breaking their promises e.g. New PvP area (promised in both RoI and Moria expansions) new 24 man content (for Moria). The list goes on.
Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to having new content, but in some ways I wish they'd take their time to do it right.
@puzzlite There is the son of Theoden, Theodred and there is Grimbold as well and nope you cant get into Rohan yet, but propably with the next expansion
@IvanTheHealer Unfortunately, if you are looking for anything new in the way of quest dynamics, it is still a never-ending grind fest. There are some interesting methods in which quests are presented, and some new tech put into instances and general quest progression, but you still gotta kill or pickup stuff at the end of the day.
I've never gotten into this game because I've always played wow or currently swtor....but for a f2p game this is probably the best on the market.

@MrColinWinter i see, well i hope thats not the case. facing 4 or 5 orcs at one time would be an epic fail.
