She can hold a tune. She's not bad, but her voice just isn't a singer's. It happens to most of us. Volume control, pitch, inflection, enunciation, emotion, etc. it's a shit load of stuff you have to be good at.... all at the same time.
@bottomfeeder yes i agree with your response 100%, but pitches can be fixed like my friend kinda sucked when she started off but now she is good cuz of the lessons she took also man if it their families that tell them this they should keep it to themselves >3>

man i hate american idol they are so mean if i had gone on and they said that to me i would have erupted like a volcano i mean come on they are singing in front of a lot of people and doing their best and what happens at the end they get their hopes and dreams crushed by their words

she doesn't sound bad, imo, she just sounds very very ordinary and kind of out of beat. And seriously, people should fuck off with the fake tans, or I hope it's just a fake tan, cause she looks like a burn victim.
I thought she sounded fine. Better than some auto-tuned pop stars. Then again, I don't have the professional ear the judges do. Maybe the should've pointed out her tone/pitch/vibrato/whatever that was off, instead of just saying she's terrible. Because she's not.
