A parakeet is any small parrot with a long tail, and a lovebird is the smallest birds from Africa. They have short tails. I bet that's not what you wanted to know is it?
My little lovie Velvet LOVES listening to your videos. She really responds to Bebe's chirping. I take here in the computer room with me when I need to get some work done and play your videos. I would love it if you would post an hour video of your aviary with just your lovebirds chirping and playing so I don't have to keep pressing Replay! :-)
my two lovebirds have four eggs. when she had the first one, she wouldnt go near it, but when she had the second one, you wouldnt find her away from it, same with the 3rd and 4th. the parents have somewhat turned wild because we have been extremely busy, and that was why we got our second bird. things arent really busy now but when i tried to play with the birds they bite. is it better to let the parents raise them and us just handle them or to handfeed them? ive never handfed before. thank you
The tub is kinda small... Perhaps a wider tub with shallow water would entice them even more? These babies are so "pert," I'm not surprised to see them want to bathe at such a young age!
The bowl is fine. It was for them to drink, not bathe. They just decided to take a bath the very first time they experience water. They have a larger basin in their weaning cage now.
Lol that is so funny, my baby budgies at about 7.5 weeks just had their first bath the other night as well. It's on my youtube channel if you wanna check it out. Thanks for sharing. They are adorable. :)
OH my god,, sooooo cute,, they see you and say MOMMIE!! lOVE watching your videos, so refreshing. Do the two of you every get any sleep? They are just like any babies always demanding attention
sooo cute i had my lovebird and parakeet together for a couple months now but my dog knocked of the cage and killed my parakeet im still crying and my pink and yellow peach face lovebird had to watch the whole thing : (

Hey there,
I'm just curious, do both of you guys work full time jobs? if you do, then how do you go about hand raising the babies?
Thanks, any idea on how you manage your time is appreciated ;)

Cute birds! You have so many!
I know people use wooden eggs sometimes to control the number of birds a year. But what do they do with the real eggs they replace?

Asked them.
