@ahimsa666 Paki is a derogatory term for Pakistani and Raghead is a derogatory term for Arabs, Indians, Muslims, etc because they are commonly known to wear keffiyehs or turbans. I don't think he realized that what he was saying could be seen as offensive at the time, simply because boys will be boys, especially with friends, and they call each other all sorts of names, girls too. He was just joking around and meant no one harm.

"paki" and "raghead" almost old fashioned, not used as much as they once where but still have no place in todays society, but these days, casual racism is widely accepted, people are quick to gloss over these blatantly racist words, saying things like "they were only joking" and the old favourite "it wasn't racist". If you delve deep enough you can find racism still present at any level, call it banter, whatever you like but it's not acceptable - unless you convince yourself it is ;)

The fact that you study one subject for seven years and become an expert at it does not prove you're not ethnically inferior. Because an Asian studies medicine 7 years doesn't mean he will have the ability to distribute fat evenly amongst his body (rendering him athletically useless)
