I love how when Daphne gives the sarcastic "He was a detective you know", Martin gives a quick nod like "Yep I was.", not realizing she's sarcastic.

I think the audience laughter was tempered somewhat by the fact that they had to do this in multiple takes. If you watch some Frasier bloopers, on some of the blooper reels, this scene is included, but John Mahoney and Jane Leeves keep cracking up seeing David Hyde Pierce covered in shaving foam. I can't blame them.
